be the motivation, I said that sometimes it
helps make things possible. Passion alone doesn’t pay rent or buy time. If someone’s working full-time, it’s unrealistic to expect them to keep producing large, high-quality projects in their spare time without some kind of support.
Also, it’s not by downloading everything for free that we’ll ever get a finished game. It’s exactly this kind of unsympathetic attitude that kills a developer’s motivation. It’s easy to pirate and complain afterward, but that won’t help anyone.
I’m not saying people should support every creator blindly, but from what I’ve seen and from my own discussions with Worlaix on his Discord, he never came across as greedy. He’s just working alone on a very ambitious project and clearly lacks time. If I ever see the project is truly dead, I’ll have no reason to pay either, but honestly, I really liked what I saw of the game, and it would be a real shame if he gave up after putting in so much effort.
