Just checked out of curiosity. Yup, radio silence since January sixth where he said he'd be taking time off his job to work on the game and that the update would be out soon. Discord's dead aside from two dudes exchanging good mornings every couple of days. Sad state of affairs.

I really hope he’s okay. But if he’s from Russia, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d been called into the army. I’ve already lost so many Russian male friends… Only my current employers are still fine, and I just hope it remains that way.

The game has only ever been in english and does not strike me as something made by someone with english as a second language. Unlikely they're from that part of the world

Someone said the dev might be from an Eastern European country, but it is neither confirmed or denied by the dev. It doesn't matter tho because what we know is the dev graduated and busy with his real life and job but I hope he eventually finds time to work on this game because the new art on his Discord are so good.

Dev speaks perfect English. Writes at a level that is far above most native English speakers. He graduated from law school. That's around the time he went AFK. So it's safe to assume that just... life happened. This was a hobby and maybe he ain't got time for it now. But maybe someday... we can hope lol.

It's sad, I really enjoyed the game. If only he told us what he wanted to do with the game, and access to the game, someone could continue the job.

Hilarious to me how many people seem to think "continuing the job" is an easy thing to do. A new artist would almost for sure have a different style, causing a sudden jarring in that part of the game. Characters would not "sound like themselves," because proper voicing (little idiosyncrasies in how language gets used by someone when they speak, etc.) is pretty difficult. And then, ofc, you'd need to secure permission or you could be hit with copyright, especially given that Worlaix graduated from law school. But sure, "if only"....

I agree with you but copyrights is en empty threat. Do you really think he officially copyrighted this barely-started little porn game and will sue someone to court? It just the right thing to do for any decent artist not to steal a previous work.

It depends, I suppose, on whatever jurisdiction a case would appear under. In the United States, for instance, you are considered to have a copyright without having officially registered anything. You just have to be able to present enough evidence that supports your claim. It's not very expensive here to register, so I would imagine that in many places it's similarly affordable. And while I agree it's unlikely, I have no idea whether he registered any kind of copyright for this game. Given that some porn sites actually do have their stuff copyrighted, I wouldn't put anything beyond the realm of possibility.

I have seen many times even supposed artists on this site (I have no way to verify whether they're legit) being all for just running away with someone else's work. Given that, I think your "decent artist" statement doesn't really matter. I agree that they definitely should not; I just don't have much faith that they would not. In any case, copyright wasn't even the primary point of the argument, but more of an afterthought.
