It's simply because there are people wanted to play the Era of Myth series. EoM is really vital with the past context on the world of how Ordowald was formed.

Heck, there are some characters within the series that had survive the ruins of many worlds during EoM that are now in SEQUEL.

One example is the Tahati. If you are curious why, you can just check the spoiler.

When it comes to MTL there's always gonna be points of inconsistency, but when edited enough it can look as good as a poorly manually translated game. Though, "enough" really varies from game to game. And sometimes I don't give a shit about the game so I do the bare minimum anyway. *cough* Chireiden Crisis *cough*

People tolerate GPT translations because it's fast and cheap and generally they can imagine up the rest, but there's far more potential in edited MTL than just fixing crashes and gameplay bugs.

And on the flipside, when your MTL reads like shit in 2025... Well, better pick up a dictionary.

Newer mass GPT translations are passable for games that don’t really have a story but they can jank out sometimes. Took me ages to sort through most of the extra jank stuff in DazedAnon’s translation of Violated Princess.
