It's not really more than a beta. The designs are nice and there is a game with mechanics, but its rather short. I haven't played it in a year, but it looks like he made one updae since then with minor tweaks.

You can use all the demo units in battle, but you can only do one date with each (?).

I lost interest in this game more than a year ago, inconsistent and unsubstantial updates, plus the dev doesn't like to put in the work...

Dev said he basically couldn't make any money off of it, so he's focusing on smaller games for now and hopes to return to ELGM someday. Such a shame, this game had so much potential.

Forgot to update here, but I caved and subbed to the author's Patreon last month.. Tried out 0.8.4 but there's not much content yet. Author said in their discord that there will be more patches on 20 and 27 May but will stop development for this game (to work on his other projects (EDEN chapter 4 and Rose Bullet)) and will continue the development of this game in November.

Game got an update on itch.io to version 0.8.5 ten hours ago.

So its not abandoned.

OH man, this guy. I remember when he had a growing webcomic. I wonder what he ended up doing with that. Wished I saved it.

Not surprised on how the game ended up though.
