Update about the game's development was posted on fanbox, free link here:

"Heya guys! What you see here might be confusing! "Redesign for Roz-chan?" "Rota?" There's a reason I've done these concept designs. I will explain it in this post.

I hate RPG Maker. It's an outdated engine that if you don't know any kind of programming, you depend on plugins. The issue with plugins is that those are also depending if they work with each other, and when something breaks its either extremely difficult to determine what broke, or maybe some really dumb and easy to fix, but you aren't ever sure if its a plugin that's not working right or if it's me not understanding. Fact of the matter is, its a great tool to start out game making but it also boxes you in a lot. Which leads me to my next point.

I will move away from RPG Maker to potentially GODOT. My plan is currently to finish this game in a more or less satisfying way, but inconclusively so that I "remake" the game in a simpler manner, and just leave in the important stuff and be concise about it. The current idea is that it will be an alternate universe of sorts but not. I can't put into words yet, as at the moment I'm writing every idea I have so that I make something that's good and not something weird.

I had a long time to think about it, but the current game people love it and I'm grateful for it, but from a dev point of view, it was unplanned and it was getting out of scope. I needed to reel it in a long time ago, but I kept adding things. So moving forward, I will work and plan appropriately to have something that will make everyone happy and I can deliver a fun and lewd experience.

I'm still determining what characters I can use for the following story, although everything is taking form. Once I have a better idea of how I will proceed, I will share synopsis and general ideas.

Let me know if you have ideas of your own or what characters you want me to keep around. Or if you have any feedback. Appreciate the support as always!

Regards and love, Roz"

That was posted on fanbox around 3 months ago, actually.
If you haven't you really should consider supporting them on fanbox; the most basic plan (which pretty much gives you everything) is only around 1 buck a month.

Fair point, but having kept an eye on the game for a while it has gone without updates for months at a time, several times through its development - so I figure I'll support it when it finally gets finished.

I have to break it to you but rozen is not going to be back at this game anytime soon.

He's doing characters and posting them on twitter, but not saying for what project which may be a collab and not his own, so this game is going to sit in the back of the freezer for a very long time if anything.

Least they said this one will be finished at least it seems even if it will get cut short, I've seen a couple VN from here get canceled or abandoned etc etc but then come back to at least finish the chapter/arc and leave it there or in some cases make an ending for it there. None the less am interested to see where it leads for both this game and the possible other one.

There are still player like me who's still not giving up this game :3 some survivors~
Sorry to break it to you buddy but I've been a part of Roz's discord for a while and had a few talks with him about EFCC and it's pretty safe to say that the game as we know it is dead. He seems to not want to come back to it at all tbh but says that if he does, it will be in Godot instead and will be a diff story altogether with altered characters like a MILF Roz.

RPGM seems to have broken his spirits a bit and it's likely left a bad taste in his mouth re the whole project, so you'll probably see other things from him before EFCC gets touched again - and that doesn't even necessarily mean other games, you'll see a couple small comics and various pinups before any new demo or game update gets put out.

There's an artist colab project called MonMon girls (a futa pok*mon spoof) that he started about 2 years ago that hasn't really had any significant updates that he tried reviving last month by doing some char refs for the 2 MC's and the professor but that seems to have lost all traction as well since no other artist really did anything. So yeah, not sure what project is being focused on atm, if any.

But again, the RPGM version of this game is dead and is 99% likely to never have another update and will probably only be used as an MVP/proof of concept. Which is a huge shame, since last September he posted updated storyboards for certain characters/scenes and even had a main theme done up, which got me really excited... guess it just became too much as he's not a developer/programmer and RPGM is aids when you get too many plugins going on and you don't know what you're doing + irl gets in the way.

I really do hope he comes back to it and at least wraps it up or completes one of the romanceable lines, but I wouldn't hold my breath at this point. Honestly, I'd be happy even if he just doesn't touch the story and only focuses on the dating SIM aspect of it!

There are a lot of hidden channels on that discord for the game but only a supporter would know what's going on in those channels

Can someone tell where the second mimic needs to be? I searched the whole cave, inbteracted with every chest, found the first mimic, opened with the odd key, got the vile key, yet there's no other mimic to be found?

this game is another great example of why getting excited for games super early in development is a bad idea. Was curious what had happened to this only to find out its another game that got abandoned. I swear the abandonment rate of porn games is easily the high 90%s.

No obligation to commit to a project will do that
