These guide are usually updated several times, if someone who bought it downloaded it now it's very likely completeI'm assuming the LI guides in chapter 5 for Borge, Tyr and Kirk is not ready yet?
I can romance Kirk in ch 3 if i have unlocked all scene of all characters in ch2?

I made the mistake of taking Jostein as LI as well and I regret it a lot, because it is surely the worst route in terms of romanticism. I just started chapter 5, and I haven't felt anything with that route, for me Filipa isn't the problem, since she's super adorable and treats you like a sister, it's just that you always feel like you're the mistress, you're literally going to be the one who gets saddled with the worst part of marriage, which is housework and taking care of the kids, while they go on their honeymoon and spend it making more babies. Honestly Jostein will be as handsome as he wants, but his route is terrible and I really regret picking him as LI, they could have simply set it as a supporting character who shows his dick from time to time and I would have felt the same way. I don't know what will happen in chapter 5, the save or let Filipa die thing I knew it because I saw it in the guide, but I haven't inquired about the development of the relationship neither chapter 5 nor in chapter 6, but I don't have much hope to see anything either. If it wasn't for all the grind that the game requires to advance I would have already changed my route, but honestly I've been playing for about 60 hours, and for what's left I'll finish what's left of the route.
Literally the relationship consists of being the family maid, super romantic if you ask me.

The only thing that motivates me to keep playing is the story and see how Britt evolves, honestly I don't care about Jostein, I don't understand how someone can fall in love with a person who always treats you as if you were second class. But well I'll keep playing my masochistic session and hating Jostein more and more haha. What makes me funny is that according to him, even Filippa herself doesn't care as much about him as Britt does, but still he treats you like you're the one-off summer love. Jostein's route is absolute dogshit, miss me with that sister wives bullshit. It's a shame the sexiest characters have the worst routes.

I understand all the Jostein criticism, but to be fair: almost all LIs get a little colder and distant starting C4.
For almost all of them, the flirting tones down and it becomes more about their personal storylines like Tyr's family or Ralf's research or Kirk's dread or Borge's anxiety. As far as I can tell from data mining, only Erland's storyline gets sweeter in a way that narratively makes sense.
I truly admire this game's worldbuilding and lore, but I do miss the raunchiness of the first two chapters.

Frankly, after going through the characters' guide on Patreon, I don't think there's a better lover when it comes to those "straight" blokes lol. I haven't played ch5 and 6 yet so I can't comment on the specifics (also, Jostein is far from being my first run each chapter), but I think his writing is rather consistent with the character: he's clearly heads over heels in love with Filippa and that can't really change -or do you think that Britt would have made him gay by the wiggling of his magic ass?

The Norse society the game is set in also allows the player to be part of Jostein's life even with Filippa in the picture (by means of the conjugal vow) and I suppose -as there are three endings per LI- there will be the chance to regulate the level of 'domination' within the household.

well, if he was going to be a straight man in love to the end, then maybe he shouldn't even be a LI. (In theory it's a gay love game by the way...) I don't think we're saying he should stop loving his wife either, just that maybe he could show a little affection, but I think it's pointless to keep arguing over something that isn't going to change, it is what it is. If there is someone capable of enjoying his route let him enjoy it. The game is good regardless of how grouchy he is.
The thing is, if someone reads the forum looking for information about the route, they should know that this man's route should be the last if they are looking for a love story.
It should not be forgotten that there are still 3 chapters to go, so perhaps the trend may change in the future, but it is still an opinion of the project and the current feeling.
