you can also ask me, maybe I know the answer lol I plan to redo Henrik anyway because I miss his secret tag that he has in chapter 7 with Ralf. I think that's definitely going to do something in ch 8 since the LIs who got the tag were the ones were the ones who will have sex scenes in ch8: Kirk (will have sex scene in ch 8) and Tyr, Jorgen (Will have sex scene in ch 8) and Jostein, and Henrik and Ralf (who will have sex scene in ch8).

I had already imagined it, from the images I missed when I played before
and seeing the guide was when the questions from before came up
This game is genuinely fun when you play it with the guides. I remember rage quitting without guides in the middle of Ch 1. The author should definitely make the guides free.

You're not wrong. I am a backer and have enjoyed the game since the demo, but if you don't have a guide to grind each chapter efficiently, it can be a slog.
as much as I love this game, I couldn't agree more. It's not the puzzles, just navigating it with the various many options and things you can miss (or just have a crap run because you don't choose the bones wisely) is a big endeavour.
And the guide doesn't even tell you "everything" as well (sometimes the guide even wrong about some stat lol).
Honestly, if the numerical puzzle's hints weren't 1 click disappear (like in ch2) then at least this game would be less frustrating.
OR MAKE THE GIFTING SYSTEM NOT DISABLED WHEN YOU HAVE A HIGH OPINION WITH YOUR LI, THAT WOULD BE AMAZING. Seriously, I have to have lower attraction with Henric just to get the poly route with ralf (which I didn't do cause I much rather cheat). I don't like cheating, but this game sometimes just force you to cheat because it is too difficult /punishing
i dont know. i played each chapter without the guide as soon as they were released, and didnt have much problems. after chapter2 and its hard passwords i didnt encounter anything too hard. you dont need to make perfect choices for everything, and making mistakes is a part of playing games after all. not to mention that you can also ask other players if you are stuck- this is what the community is for.

Personally for me ch6 and is practically when shit hit the storm for me, puzzles that you have to go back for to activate, puzzles which require a # of stuff in your inventory, fun times lol

I downloaded Ergi from this forum and played it without a guide the first time. I justified not being that close with all of the LIs because it's a snail-paced, slow-burn love kinda game. Many hours later, somewhere at chapter 4, I got so fed up because all I see are handsome men and kukk that I can't touch.
I came back to this thread for the guide, only to realize that I missed all of my chances, and the fire icon on Ralf meant that he's my primary LI. I proceeded to go to bed knowing I have to restart the whole thing.
I can't imagine how frustrating it is for people who paid for Ergi and play without access to the guide and this forum.
the game has a discord server too. players are encoraged to join it and ask there if they have problems. you can ask about any chapter that is not the current patreon only chapter there, and patreon backers have an access to the latest chapter's channel too. there are links to it both in the patreon and the itch pages of the game. the guides are important if you prefer to not interact with other players, which some people feel uncomfortable with, but even they can just search the discord server for answers.

Again, I am literally a backer of the game, so I'm definitely a fan, but my biggest gripe about the game is the idea that if you want to experience the game as the creators intended, you have to go to exterior sources. Hopefully their next project, if they have one, will be more polished and complete.
Yeah, don't mind me who have been repeating the game at least 12 times, I lost count.
i am not sure if the intention was to run everything perfectly in the game. i can totally see how mistakes or low stats may cause britt to act despratly and force him to choose who to save. perfect choices may remove these elements from the game.
can i get help chapter 6 and 7 doesnt work for me it say that a png cant be found and its just text and a black screen
I wish the game wouldn't just "complete" by chapter 9. They should do a lot more polishing once everything is complete and reworking some stuffs that clearly doesn't work as well, like Alf rework and Gifting system.
Usually it's because your game is corrupted or you didn't copy-paste it correctly.
Does that mean i need to restart from scratch or is it connected to the constant save file with all the cgs? Sorry im new to all of this
Does Alf need a rework? I'm just at ch4 so I don't know how it goes later, but for now I don't find outstanding problems in the Alf build. It's more difficult than Seidr or Valkyrie but that's ok.
What is the gifting system by the way? is it something that happens post-ch4?
To be honest if they want to rework a more polished version once they finish, my top of the list is the remake of some of the images: some are perfectly fine and beautiful, but in others the characters (and especially Britt) have a rather lifeless look and feel off (e.g. the people don't look at each other) and artificial.

I honestly don't know. Do you have the original folder, before you added chapter 7 (or 6), like the rar version? I say make a back up save somewhere, then extract the original rar again, then try to copy the extra chapters properly (Extract on another folder then copy paste to the main folder) to the new "original" folder, and copy your save file back into the new folder and play again to see if it works.
Yes! it's literally a horrible build for combat especially in chapter 4 to 6 (with 6 it became easier), and because this game requires you to do combat, it's a pain if you don't cheat and if you have a rotten luck like me. It reliance on medic drone and crit just doesn't makes any sense. Why so many buff to construction production when construction barely have any use?
And honestly, I can see where the dev wants to go to with Alf, but they aren't there yet. Alf is supposed to be making the Undercity and everything else upgraded with technology, and I don't see that. They should actually add new "buildings" system where you can build upgrades to further your productions and make your mechas stronger, for example a building that make a certain mass production more cost effective because as it stands, you are a -1 energy when you do mass production for the same result as doing it manually. For the mechas, I am not referring to Britt stat upgrade that already exist, I meant actual upgrade like improved laceration damage, improved regen debuff, improved healing values, etc. I imagine Alf build to be "preparing" first, build your own base, and pack a ton of punch later, which they doesn't have.
Personally, I don't think they should rework the CGs if the gameplay itself is still annoying and not user-friendly because that's just them simply saying for the player to cheat to get the cgs. As it stands, a lot of things are very inconvenient, and I am not talking "Hard", it's just inconvenient to the point sometimes it's hard to enjoy the game (Which is why I still haven't done my Alf Freir Kirk run).
The gifting system happen in chapter 4 once you get to the undercity, but you won't be able to access it if you have high opinion with your LIs.
