I've stopped following this game a few years ago now, discovered it around the time Chapter 3 released and then lost all interest once Chapter 4 came out (game was being designed around needing the paid Patreon guides, had really hard to parse and sometimes just incomprehensible dialogue, also had no interest in a bottom/femme protagonist and the heavy BL vibe that the game had + a bunch of other reasons). Decided to pop by to see what the game is up to now and surprised to read about AI being used, since I remembered the game having generally good renders and art being one of its strong points.
So I've decided to check out the image files from the new update to see what everyone in the thread is talking about, and
L O L, you were not kidding, this is atrocious. I can't imagine paying actual money and supporting the dev for several months just to see
this:
This is literally something out of a parody or someone's first NSFW Twine project.
The backgrounds and the clothes are almost all AI, and the AI filters (?) keep distorting everyone's bodies, hair, and faces:
Maybe something happened behind the scenes and there's a completely justified and valid reason for the dev resorting to this, but for now I'll just say that I'm glad I've never actually given any money to this game, back when I was still playing it.
