I'm sorry, I wasn't specific enough. After saving manually, it doesn't get saved on my computer upon closing the game. It's like the save never happened, and I have to start all over again.
I actually have no idea how that happened.
Before closing the game, can you load saves you've made in the same session?
Which drive did you put the game file in?
Maybe it's flagged by an antivirus on your machine?
The folder is probably not Read Only because the game would have warned you otherwise.
Do you have other WolfRPG games on your machine? and if so, do they work?
Have you tried re-extracting the game?

Ayura Crisis didn't work either, I'm afraid. I currently have no anti virus other than windows defender itself, and re-extracting and reinstalling hasn't worked either :/ (When exiting the game, winrar doesn't ask to save progress, which it usually should do for other H-games, so I don't know what the issue is)

However: Saving seems to work when I use the japanese version. I think the issue with my download is the fact that it could just be missing a save folder as a whole. I have no idea how to fix this, but oh well

This is my first time doing so. Could you tell me how?
Probably a bad path (bad characters). Move the files over to "C:\Games\Eris" or something as simple and try again.

Managed to convert it from a 7z file to a winrar file, which seems to have done the trick :)
Excuse me, what? Let me get this straight. You're launching the game straight from the archive?

Let me explain:
When you try to open a file in an archive, the archive is first extracted into your %temp% directory.
Whatever you do after that will not affect the original archive directly.
If a program creates "save" somewhere else in your system, eg. %APPDATA%, %LOCALAPPDATA%, it will be fine.
In this case, however, the save is created in a relative path to the program.
If you launch the game straight from the archive, it will be saved in a temporary folder.
Do you see the problem here?
Depending on the archive tool you use, that temporary folder may be removed when you no longer use it.
The location may also change every time you open the archive.

Usually, you extract the files in the archive to a fixed point in your file system so they can work as intended.

any idea how long it might take?
My best guess would be to estimate a release mid next year, or to expect a demo maybe early. Pixel anims take a bit of time, and developing something that's both workable and fun is a lot of effort.

Note: when I say release, I don't mean full release, just something that could give us a playable state

That next game seems to be coming in hot with these consistent posts.

I hope it releases in 2025 or 2026.

One big thing is that I hope it's longer than Eris.

Maybe 1 or 2 more levels?
Important to temper our expectations with this dev. They seem to be prone to extreme bouts of burn out. ED got extended from what I remember halfway through Dev time for an indefinite time due to dev getting burnt out.

Completely agree, however, I think that the dev already took a long enough break after Eris to deal with their burn out. The fact that they are showing so much content again and arent MIA tells me that they're ready to work on and maybe finish their next game. They even like and read every single comment on Ci en. I have sent 3 comments and they liked every single one. They're active with their fans and reading suggestions. Hopefully we see a full release late next year or 2026. of course, they could always burn out again. I hope not.
