Probably the extraction went wrong. Make sure you extract with the correct encoding (JIS/Japanese, if required) and use a simple path with Latin letters only (A-Z, e.g. C:\Games\Eris).

It would probably be a lot of work, since this is a game with a lot of pixel-art animation. Unless you want a text-only mod.
it has been while hasn't see any report from dev till now and play as futa protagonist on 3th game, would be cool hell not gonna lie and i can't wait for it to out but must be patient since dev work hard and need to take some rest, i hope more futa content to it game such like more futa x female, futa x futa but of course some people only like futa x male, after all everyone has different like to

Sometimes when you extract japanese locale games, the extraction can have an error when it reads the japanese characters causing some issues. I would recommend re extracting the game and making sure you have a simple title for your file without any japanese characters. If you really need, you can also go into the settings of the tool you are using to extract to make sure it extracts in japanese as well.

Probably relating to what they're working on in the game. They're working on it, but we won't hear big news/updates until it's near release, probably.
The dev is very quiet/private.
But we have been hearing a lot more from them recently. My opinion is that the game will release next year. It could release this one, too. But we can't know for sure.
Hard to say. I think they're taking it real slow to avoid burnout. I know the dev burned out and almost didn't finish ErisDysnomia and suspended it for about a year. You can also kinda see it i the game as it's rather short and there's some stuff that looks like they were planning to do more with.
I'd just to be happy as long as it get released eventually. I've seen way to many promising Ci-en devs disappear or without so much as a game trial. there was even one that passed away which was pretty sad. Next year would be dope tho, I love this dev.
dev is very quiet about new game however will only drop 1 leak only for enemy or protagonist.
i don't know what to say about release, is very hard to tell unless dev say release date, if developing game goes well then release can be not much longer now but if not can be take even longer.
I agree with you. The dev did take it VERY slow with the new game. It's been ages since Eris. I think they've been slightly working on the new game on and off, but very little. Then recently last year, they felt like picking it up and working on it. Due to the many updates and on pixiv and Twitter.
BUT they could always stop and take a break. Or not take a break, but work very slowly on it without posting updates on social media.
Personally, I don't mind if it takes another 2/3 years if it means we get a bigger/better game. Or well, a release at all.
But I think it could come out next year, who knows?

I would agree too. I think a lot of us on this thread are looking at a next year release or a speculated demo by sometime then. We can definitely expect some more sprite work on his pixiv.
