I would wait because 1.0 has a save bug, which is why it almost always freezes when you save.
And it loads the saved games with errors

oh yeah is that a bug? One of your helpers gets caught and I was in easy and now he's caught in an area where it's extremely hard?

That's not a bug. When adventurers get captured the rescue dungeon starts as elite. As days pass without them being rescued, more cursed items will be applied to them, and the difficulty of the dungeon will drop

Release 1.0 is the newest version, afaik.
Which features do you mean that may be from a newer version?
Wait did they reset versioning after the Beta?
Because in the changelog Beta 1.4.4 is the latest and many mods refer to version numbers above 1 as compatible

If you scroll further down in the changelog you can see that they already reset versioning once when the game went from Alpha 2.99 to Beta 1.0
Now it just went from Beta 1.4.4 to Release 1.0

Unconventional, but not unheard. Not that regular semantic versioning translates well into standalone programs either way.

So... how many missions does it take to reach the bosses on the left???? I already have my rooster full, most upgrades, even started to reach max level with some units and started looping them back to begginers

Really great game btw, been following it since the development started, great to see it finally finished!

Lots of cool ideas and overal great execution

I really hope the next project builds on this ideas rather than just veering off

I kinda miss the... storylines from ero witches tho T-T
Altho I can understand moving away from making games with an IP

Yeah, that makes sense, release 1.0 was just not called that in the patch notes so I got confused. Thanks!

Hmm. One thing that gets boring after a while is new recruits always having the same old gear, particularly when the carriage is so built up they start out as adepts or even veterans. I wonder if there is a way to have recruits start with gear off leveled lists (idk, maybe along the lines of "(very) common" for novice, "(very) common or uncommon" for adept, "common or uncommon" for veteran).

game is fun but having a party member getting abducted/getting it back is really difficult at times and kills the fun.
i wish there was an option for that or a way to make it easier.

When you're in the rescue mission you can just try to find the kidnapped member and then retreat. Might even be doable without fighting entirely, depending on the layout. The mission will fail, but the rescue will succeed.

If you wait a few days the kidnapped party member gets equipped with more gear and the difficulty of the mission drops - it can go all the way down to novice. Although at that point their class will change and you'll need to train them up to veteran to uncurse their gear. If you didn't put a lot of effort into them to load them up with specific quirks and increased their stats, it's probably a lot less effort to just abandon the kidnapped party member and get a new recruit from the carriage.

That said, you also have decent options for preventing kidnapping in the first place. Remember that you can retreat at any time, even in the middle of combat. So if you can't heal a party member that is already at 0 hp and likely to get hit, just retreat to prevent them getting kidnapped.

You can add 700 Curios, no player with more than 4 iq will use any of them when almost all of them have a chance to Equip a >&# item that can only be removed iff you reach VETERAN with that cursed class.... do you ever played your own game? do you know how >&#ing long it takes to level a cursed class to lvl 9? are you insane? the reward / punishment isnt exactley balanced in these curios mate..... i had to delete liek 18 saves so far to your dumb curios equiping me with an unremovable >&#{ that needs lvl 9.....
This poster being unable to spot mimics aside, there's a valid point in there; Like 90% of the curios are bad. You can easily spot the mimics once once you know what the look for, and loot them safely if you have a character with the correct response (ie kill it). But the rest of them? They give bad outcomes most of the time, and are often still RNG even if you have the 'correct response' and I quickly learned to just walk by them all. And when they do work, you get what? +10 morale or a +1 mana item and 500 gold? It's more rewarding in this game to just speedrun adept/elite/elite+ difficultly dungeons AVOID as much as possible and rush to the exit for the clear reward, unless you have combat related level goals, and that's a serious issue with the game balance.

Imagine playing DD1 where you couldn't use items to avoid the curio penalites, and instead RNG determined if you got loot or got fucked. Nobody would touch them ever again, and that's basicaly Ero Dungeons curio balance right now.

Haven't checked in on this in a while. Can you still test for cursed equipment using a character fresh off the carriage and if the equipment is not cursed move it to the character you actually want to use it?

Baddies, please pay close attention to the answer to this question.

This is another sore point. Like 90% of the ? items in this game are cursed, and using the church to uncurse them is hideously expensive. You very quickly learn to never, ever test them on good characters. There's even a few nasty ones that can't be removed, ever, by any means. I don't think I've ever played a RPG where I just aggressively ignore most of the gear, because most of it is worse than the defaults.

pizza's? Is this a real bug report or you just messing around?
Lol. Not messing with you. Seriously. My pizza's dont' consume (infinite stack, stopped using them, but will try to figure out why/when it procs one of these days for you if you want). Could be a mod for all I know.

Also, since we're talking bug reports. I did the 'advanced awakening' thing. Not sure if it's just a limitation of the game and it will fix after I reach certain prerequisities, but professions like berserker are just empty (no skill tree) professions I can accept. It also crashes the game, but on reload they are somewhat active and I can just revert back to a playable one without any issues (no further crash).

I went in face first with the modding, because I couldn't help myself. In general everything seems to work fine.
Not sure where the pizza's are coming from if they are modded items, but it's all from the mods found through this threads main links. (I'm also pretty familiar with modding in general and there isn't much I could've done wrong here).

Pretty sure pizzas don't exist in the vanilla game. Also not sure what "awakening" is. May also be mod-related.
Go through your mods and make sure they're up-to-date with the game. Also consider posting bug reports in the threads corresponding to the specific mods. Best to go through the proper steps to isolate the mod causing a bug, so disable mods until you find out the one mod (or combination of mods) that results in the bug.

Yeah, I know the deal. But I'm just a first time player. First learn the game, then take it apart to see if I can help :)
Awakening is indeed mod related. And yes, all the mods are up-to-date according to their provided meta-data.
I've just enabled like 20 of them or so, and might be a conflict (like how Ye Peasant clashes with other class-adding mods and ruins the experience of beign forced to start with peasants and grind your way up).

I play marathon mode, with starting elites, and multiple grapples mode. So you know. Might take a while if ever I get around to isolating the issue. The game is enjoyable as is. It's literally my first time playing this and for some odd reason it reminds me of like maybe an old browser or flashgame I played like a decennia ago. We've come a long way if this was that same game back then.
