VN - Ren'Py - Eruption Imminent [v0.5.1] [MorriganRae]

I like everything in this game - the plot, dialogues, characters (especially Zoey and Lexi), a selection of music, etc. The only thing missing is animation, but this is not critical. I wish the developer success and look forward to the next updates.

(Review of v0.5.0)

This is the only shemale/futanari centered AVN I have played so far with a "normal" plot instead of the usual wacky stuff. In fact it's a very nice plot; if you were to remove the futa bits it would be just another story centered around a female teen, but I think the "extras" make it better.

Visuals are very good, sound is also allright though you may find a song or two from other games. There are no animations, which limits the fapping value unless you're very into dickgirls and lesbian content. There are no males anywhere, the reason behind it is not explained so it's left for the reader to fill the blanks.

There are also good humour touches and the pacing is good, with characters behaving in realistic ways. All in all it's one of the best AVNs with dickgirls out there and one I totally recommend.

This one is kind of hard for me to rate. On one hand, I kind of like it. It has good worldbuilding, the dialogue is well done, the models are great, the story has me hooked, and the writing has me feeling things.

On the other hand, most of those things it's making me feel are exasperated and annoyed.

This is yet another porn VN that focuses way too much on the VN and not enough on the porn. There's a lot of plot and characters talking to each other and teases of actual sex, but it takes way too long to get there. That, coupled with introducing a mystery, leading up to the reveal of what happened, and then pulling the rug out from under you because the characters refuse to talk about it just ends up pissing me off. It's so painfully obvious that the dev wants to drag things out and can't do it organically, so instead they resort to lame melodrama tropes. I should not feel like I'm watching a JJ Abrams TV drama (in the bad ways) when I'm playing a porn game.

That said, I'd feel bad rating this any lower even though I'm probably going to delete it off my computer after writing this without even finishing the second chapter. I play porn games to edge for an hour or two and then cum. This game can't facilitate that at all. But it's still a well made game, and I understand that this is largely a case of the developer's aims not lining up with mine. And that happens, I get it. But it still annoyed me enough that I needed to vent this review out.

So, if you're one of those people who like story and character development to be the focus of your adult VNs, with the actual porn a secondary, at best, consideration, this might be for you. You might enjoy the melodrama and the way characters tend to react "realistically" to things instead of with porn logic. (This is the first porn game I've played where a mother catches their kid jacking off and there's not even a hint of her being turned on or curious, for example. And there are others. Basically there's a lot of set ups to what would be sex scenes in other porn games that the writing seems to go out of its way to tell you will never actually happen)

But if you're like me and you play porn games to get off, you can safely skip this one. Or download the gallery unlocker and see if there's anything coming up that might be worth your time.

one of the best futa games that covers everyone needs this dev actually puts time and effort to satisfy all types of need from different people while some do only what they like it will surly satisfy top-bottom-and Ntr people while also having an interesting story to tell plus the dev wrote it the way u can actually feel it great job dev keep up the good work.

Still deciding on how much I liked playing when I have to make so few decisions... but the ones you do make have a pretty dramatic impact. Definitely different than most other games I've played where you have to make a choice every 5 seconds. Definitely looking forward to future releases! Love Fiona!

Creative world building and good story arch.

The renders are really good. Scene composition, lighting, costume design, camera placement are all on point.

Nice to see some good set pieces like the 'porn scenes', 'game scenes' and 'imagine scenes'. Those didn't need to be there but I appreciate them. It makes the game feel bigger.

Some points of criticism:

I find the character design approaches the uncanny valley for me, which reduces their appeal.

The way the story is set up begs to let the player choose how they engage or progress with each character. A missed opportunity perhaps?

I did not like the explicit red-blue-green choice. That felt out of place. It should either be at the start of the game, or better yet it should be implicit based on what choices you make. It could be a story-design choice (trying to limit branches / loose ends) but so far I didn't see why that was done. It could have made more sense if more choices were made during the 'dream scenes'.

I got a little big confused about which character is which. Was the 'soulmate' intended to be a twin? Who are these people hanging around Veronica's house? Are they all living there? It's probably explained, but I'm missing contextual reminders. Also Jane appears in the dream scenes but is never properly introduced. As is 'the other one', is there going to be complementary version of her?

Veronica's personality seems at odds with her landlording with roommates.

The politician's bimbo wife felt out of place. Why did she need to be a bimbo? I would have liked to see the PC get into a good relationship with the politician's wife, bonding over their respective partner's argument. I think that could have been a fun story line.

Great game for Futa lovers, it has some unique story options with a fairly compelling back story and the buildup to sex scenes feel satisfying with some being raw sexual tension and others a deep sentimental longing urge. Like others have said, I do wish it had some animations, but everything as is a 10/10 would recommend.

I'm usually not into the whole Futa protagonist thing however this one is more justified given the world which the story is set in. the world building is excellent and interesting in its own right then add in sexy images and acts and I'm down right eager for the next installment. The images are hot and the story is engaging all and all a five star game one I'm looking forward to each release of.

This game is on the road to greatness. Visuals and animations are high quality, writing is natural and eloquent, the characters are a spectrum of humanity, full of hopes and fears and dreams.
I have no idea where we're going on this journey...but I see a golden horizon ahead.

You might look at Eruption Imminent and think, "Yeah, I'm definitely not the target audience; I'll skip this one," like I did for several months. However, I can confidently say now it's one of the best experiences I've had playing an AVN so far! There's a reason why it's already broken into the top 10 weighted ratings on this site in just over a year. It's an all-timer in the making.

Eruption Imminent does so many things well. The renders are absolutely gorgeous, the music is always on point, the overarching story is very interesting to follow, and the lewd scenes are ridiculously hot. But the true stars of this AVN are the characters. Ashe (the MC) may be my favorite protagonist ever in the AVN realm or at minimum in my top 3. She's someone you just want to root for and be there with as she deals with her insecurities and navigates her day-to-day life. Honestly, all the characters in this visual novel are top tier! You can tell a lot of effort went into their personalities each with their own desires and motivations. Combine everything, and you've got one hell of a visual novel with loads more to look forward to.

The characters, the stories, the animations, the importance of choices, the different paths... everything is just...lovely.

The characters are super hot, and so very relatable. the emotions and dialogs are so well done. the H content is hot hot hot! the pathing with the inbuild guide is very clear and well done.

it being a Futa protag game is just the icing on the cake.

The writing in this is excellent, really loved the characters and story. As others have mentioned the characters are a bit comically thick at times and it would honestly fit the tone better to have them slim down to a bit more natural proportions, but thats my only complaint and its not a big issue.

This might be one of the few porn games where I havent just gone for the super slut "yes to all sex scene" options cus I genuinely wanted the MC to make good decisions, fix her broken relationships and get her life back on track

Usually I just skip until the porn for about 99% of the games on here, since most of the story in these games is useless fluff or just plain awful.

But I actually read everything in this one, the dialogue is fresh and realistic and the characters are actually relatable.

One of the best games on this site.
