Wow, the bad luck streak you've been having is incredible. I've only just now read the updates on the progress and setbacks, in my mind I was already trying to mentally prepare myself that this somehow got cancelled or something, from my glance awhile back at when the last substantial patch came out. But I also knew you have zero history of doing that, so I said to myself "chill, the emotional blue-balling and cliffhanger will get resolved... some day" lol
Hope things are going better for you. I'm actually considering patreon-ing for a bit, something not that common for me (I ADHD memory wipe myself out of things I love every week or so lol), thing is, I'm pretty dogshit financially lately. But I'll see what I can do at some point.
The update about losing your dialogue work was particularly devastating from my POV, since the dialogue (and the animations/sequenced renders ofc lol) are probably my favorite aspect of the game for me.
Even tho I didn't like how inconsistent both Ivy and Piper seemed to behave after the 'choking incident', everything up that point was hinting at clear attachments and empathy forming (especially with the dialogue choices that guilt tripped them), yet it feels like they both reset after that.
So does Valerie of course, but for her it actually makes sense (being ashamed that she's hiding stuff/betraying you into a early grave and wanting to spare both your character's and her feeling by being very cold) ...and is talked through, resolved and has 'closure' (no dialogue cock-blocking mid-conversation by 3rd party or characters constantly running away either lol).
And speaking of Valerie, the highlight for me for the entire playthrough (so far) is that is that there's finally kissing. And what a kissing scene that was! Easily the best POV kissing I've ever seen in these VN formats, the passionate POV "transitioning" from the kitchen to the bedroom is *chef's kiss* (if Valerie was a chef that is).
That scene, I like it! ANOTHER! *smashes mug*
Edit: I forgot there's also Mia kissing you one the cheek for helping her out and being gentleman-y. That brightened my playthrough/MCs day a lot as well (she's the only one I didn't mind at any point during the playthrough, to interact with, even after she admitted she likes to tease). What can I say? I love subversive stuff/flipping tropes. And what can be more subversive than making succubi express themselves romantically/fall in love with your character lol. Most other angles or tropes about succubi (or just hypersexual female characters) are done to death.
Damn, I should write a review at some point, but I might as well wait for whatever is up next.
I'd definitely would like to write a proper/formatted feedback post as well. Mad respect that you're so open to interactions and feedback from your base BTW
Best wishes
