Some vns are incest "friendly" written to were a patch makes that landlord/landlady and tenets into family easy peasy. Other stories are not incest friendly and when someone tries to nail that square peg in a round hole it very well may ruin parts of the story for the unsuspecting player.

Being family members for the sake of being family members isn't a good thing. Read his post, he explained why it doesn't fit. Yes I do like the incest theme, but it needs substance, not worth if that ruins the story. On that sense I completly agree with him.
Eh you said everything I meant and more in your post hahaha, but yeah that's what I think too, and I believe that the epilogue will have some hint about what the chars from Oial are up to in Eternum (I mean one of the endings flat out mentions Calypso, there is no way the previous MC's group is oblivious about Eternum).
By the way there is a decent sex scene with a side girl, optional but easy to archive, and some teasing. For a first release i don't find it lacking. At least, i'm a fan of sex content a bit later when it actually make sense storywise. I can understand if someone preferes early sex content but i guess not every game can cover just every tastes. There will always be games here we like more, games we like less and games we don't like at all, but other players adore. Just like in any other contest.
There are often enough incest patches that insert this without sense and then make for strange dialogs. Apart from that, with such patches it's only a matter of time until a genius comes and pisses off the dev's leg, why he writes such strange dialogs.
