This is one of the best AVN games i've ever played.
Eternum has an amazing story and world building,
All the LIs have their own interesting personalities and stories
I can even enjoy Eternum's story without the Lewd content.
Amazing game so far with a gripping story and beautiful scenes. Loved the game and waiting for more. Also liked the touch of mini games or tasks in certain parts of the story making the game wonderfully different from just another dialogue selector type game.
A complete game in almost every way, is easy to fall for every character of the story not just the ones you romance but he ones ta make part of the environment. the plot is quick to catch your attention, and the comedy is on point probably the best part of the game.
The overall game is okay for me. I wish there was more agency in the choices and focused more on branching narrative structure rather than a linear one. I feel like this limited me as a player to feel invested in the story. There are some instances where I felt like I was being forced into the story rather than being invited in to explore myself. The narrative structure could be paced a lot better as I feel like as you try to explore each of the LI's relationships with the MC you tend to go around in circles a lot of the time. I guess my biggest drawback from this game is the MC himself. I could envision myself in his eyes as he is struggling to find his identity as a character (not in a good way or intentional for narrative purposes). The best parts of this game are the efforts made in the animations, sound design, character designs, and overall staging of the scenes. It helped me make my experience a little bit more enjoyable in my playthrough.
I need the next update of this game, I had no clue it was not finished and will be eagerly waiting for the next release. Caribdis is by far my favorite creator on this website. This has to be my favorite game ive played from F95 and whole heartedly recommend it to everyone.
I only recently got into avn games and ive always heared abuot eternum and how its absolutely peak avn. I had high expectations for this game when i started and i can definitely say that all my expectations were absolutely smashed. story is amazing, the scenes were just plain awesome, everything character is unique and have their own charm. ps i would like to add that this game ruined other avns for me and now im suffering withdrawals from eternum. its so cooked, would recommend it everytime
Perfect in every single aspect I can think of to judge in the AVN genre. from the characters, story, setting, humor, renders/graphics and overall vibe/feel of the story is magnificent. and some how with all those aspects being as good as they are the thing that truly elevates the already amazing game is the flawless usage of music to elevate scenes and atmosphere of moments in the game. I wish I could think of some constructive criticism to give the game or ideas I would like to to see improved on but there's not a single thing I can think of that I would change not a single line of dialogue or scene not the pacing or personality of a single character the slow burn and build up to scenes with characters make the pay off truly intense. if your reading this thinking of trying it out my opinions is obvious at this point its outstanding and the standard of this medium. Good story writing, good character development and best renders in HS2.
Also his Animator is top tier! Playtime of the updates is normally around 2 hours. And it’s nice to see the quality improvement from 0.1 till 0.8. Can’t wait to see more !
Disclaimer I really like this game and the devs previous work. However there are a few issues that started to really grate on my nerves more and more as the game went on.
First off the dialogue given to the MC has gotten worse over time. In the early chapters he had some edge and it would come out when he was defending the girls or whatever.
Now? It's OH LORD this OH JESUS that constantly. The writing for the MC makes him remind me of the way my mother's generation speaks...and I'm middleage.
It's really cringe when he keeps dropping lines like those during sex. Young men do not speak that way and I'd imagine a young man a couple decades into the future wouldn't either. He's sounds like a nerdy religious person seeing his first titty.
I caught myself thinking more than once only in a VN would this dork get a harem.
In the beginning I thought he was pretty cool.
That gripe is weird because overall I like the writing for the women. They each feel like a distinct person with a unique personality barring one really annoying thing.
For girls who are super into the MC and probably already in love everyone but Nova was fucking determined not to do anything serious about it even after they had already decided to suck his dick.
Annie was scared and Nova wanted a special first time while also being afraid so they were understandable the rest though...
Then when they do have sex multiple girls were like "never again" "we just have to do it once to get it out of our system" until the MC obviously fucked their brains out and changed their minds with his almighty dick.
It was just annoying to see that repeated and in those scenes kinda made them a bit less likeable to me. It also had me rolling my eyes because it seems like it was written by someone who doesn't talk to actual women.
If a girl is into a guy she will let him know! Even a shy or inexperienced girl who likes a guy enough she decides to have sex with him isn't gonna pull that bullshit nor is she gonna go through 3 blowjobs before she decides to fuck him.
To me that seems like a cheap way to pad the gallery and it annoys me how many devs are doing that with brief foreplay scenes or titty shots.
If something sexual isn't happening it shouldn't be in the gallery IMO.
Nudity alone doesn't cut it.
I like the game and I will revisit this review if the MC quits sounding like a 60 something dork dropping Oh Lords at every little thing.
Best game ever. It’s incredible how much effort someone can put in a game. There are nice animations and nice and comic interaction also the story is great I played sternum soon after once in a lifetime and I didn’t think there would be a better game than that
this is...so peak words cant even describe how good the story is, beside that other element also give a good laugh, the game isnt all about the spicy hot scenes, but about the journey and the decision you make.
Keeping this not too long, informative, and without spoilers, here's what I have to say about Eternum:
It's a very well written game. It balances plot and fan-service evenly, without compromises, and without sacrificing the quality of either. The lewd scenes are well made, with smooth animations and fitting music choices. The characters, however, are the main draw of this game. The girls aren't written like "means to an end" or "faceless bodies" for the protagonist. They have full personalities and are written with enough detail that you could imagine them as real people. Perhaps the most significant example of a well written character in this game though, is the protagonist, Orion Richards himself. To avoid giving away too much, all I'll say is that Orion Richards is unique among visual novel protagonists, in the sense that he has a full personality, morals, interests, and goals with what he does. He isn't just a vessel for the player like most visual novel protagonists are. What I really like about him though, is that he isn't an invincible, perfect leading man either. He has a character arc, and he has flaws he has to overcome and improve from, and he has lessons he learns throughout the game. He's perhaps the most well handled part of Eternum.
That's all I'll say for now. If you wanna know more, download Eternum. I've been a fan of it since March 30, 2024, and it's become one of my favorite games of all time. It's an experience you won't forget. It's the kind of thing that you only see once in a lifetime.
Masterpiece, simply masterpiece. first AVN I play, I read everything, sometime even selected difference choice to read it up. this make me excite like watching a tv show. the story, the dialog, the model, the animation, the sex. just perfect
Overall, pretty solid game. I can see why it's so popular. Unfortunately, I had to dock some points because it does have some flaws, that may or may not annoy you (they did annoy me).
The good:
- Gorgeous LIs, likable cast. The LIs are the main-selling point of this VN by far. People love them, for good reasons.
- Very good renders, very good animations. Very good lewd scenes too.
- Interesting story with an intriguing plot. Some may find it delves too much in side-stories, but I thought it was fine.
- The development of the relationship between the MC and the LIs is also decent enough, with some exception (mentioned below).
- The humor is hit-or-miss. It's very "anime".
The flaws: Some of this is subjective, so opinions can vary.
-I don't like the MC. I found him at times stupid/cringe/arrogant/annoying. He became less annoying in the latest update(0.8), but I still don't think he's written very well. To really like this game, you need to self-insert as him but I don't. His transition from a douchebag ( in v0.7) to a humble lover in 0.8 is not written well at all. It felt very unearned and unorganic
- This game is an overt power fantasy. For example, all LIs are supermodels but they are all virgins who were just waiting for MC, all other male characters are either villains or hapless sidekicks, MC has unique powers and is the chosen one, etc. So the game is obviously pandering hard. This is normally fine. But in long VNs like Eternum, that only works when you like/respect the MC...
- Small spoiler: Something happens in the end of 0.7 and they way the dev dealt with it in chapter 0.8 is honestly atrociously bad. It was one of the biggest case of lazy hand-waving.
- This and some other story segments, show that the dev sometimes just does what he wants. That makes this game feel a bit self-indulgent at times.

- This is more of a personal annoyance than anything, but I figured out the "main plot twist" very early on, but when these idiots (MC & crew) couldn't until they are straight up told, it was annoying. Also, when they kept calling Callypso an AI when she obviously wasn't (to the smart readers at least), that was pretty grating.
It just made the good guys look dumb.
Best at immersing with the ideal hot girls as well. Not too much boring dialogue and the dialogue portions themselves have great writing and animations. There is little to no major branching dialogues which is honestly great because we get to see every inch of what the dev made.
Simply the best AVN out there. Period. The is intriguing, the renders are beautiful, the animations are clean. Having played dozens of other AVN, there isn't one that comes close to Eternum in my view.
I have tried lots of AVNs lately, and only a few held me enough to keep me playing.
The one game I can't get enough of is Eternum. The story is very well written, but what I think makes this game so great are the characters. Every single person has a good character development arc, they feel and act human, and sometimes I get lost in the conversations, not even realizing they aren't real.
One of the best at scenes & characters IMO, and as far as I'm concerned every other criteria is minor.
The premise is great and there is enough to keep me more than satisfied. It would be nice to have more sub options, as the game is paced slowly and steeped heavily in the direction of romance, but these are wishes and not critiques. Bottom line is I love it and I find it difficult to be patient for updates.
Although the graphics look good in the end the way they are used seems dated as they are mostly static images that do not match the type of art used, the models are in 3D and most of the time they are just static images, only in some events you can see animation, the story is not the best at first it can be interesting but then it gets boring over time, the interface design also seems dated compared to the model graphics and there is a feeling that something does not match at all in the design.
