Actually, I'm pretty sure Caribdis has said he hates the SAO. I don't remember exactly, but iirc, he even agreed with me that the main protag of SAO was extremely boring. But I could be wrong, it was already a long time before.

The only thing that I approve of SAO is Asuna. The character is simply gorgeous and at least has some kind of personality, unlike Kirito.

In this game the MC definitely has a personality, although I maybe prefer the Oailt's MC personality, I dunno. But I understand it doesn't fit the game, the comedy in Oailt centered more on the protagonist, while in Eternum it definitely is more along to what the MC experiences, wether at school, at servers, or simply dealing with best bro Chang.

Yes pls. And Idriel, Eva and the Praetorians can join too.
If the devs hates SAO i already like him
The mc in this game is a ok character, i dont have a negative about this
When I said the game has SAO writting level, what i meaning is the you are describing something that you doenst understand how it works(a mmorpg game, or a simulation game like in this case) the other problem with SAO was the lack of sublety, every bad guy is a weirdo rapist

Keki kawahara never play a game in his life, so i can forgive that part, but this is a indie game, when my friend said this is the SAO of porn games I was expecting someting top tier material, since indie games usually has the better writting, so iam a little, dissapointed, the game show good effort, the horror puzzle was perfect

Yeah, I sound dumb playing smut games for the plot, but here is where i find gems, the AAA industry simple just doenst exist anymore, may i should clean my poor english writting and leave a review after i finish the game

and man, too much pointless text
sorry to bother

I disagree but it's your opinion. That impression imo it's because Orion isn't the laughing bag, the side characters are, and in a way that adds personality to those characters as well. Sure he still has his funny moments, but characters from Chang to Chop-Chop are the ones who have that exact purpose.

About SAO... I wish that was the only problem... but I don't want to derail into Off Topic, otherwise the mods will probably kidnap me.

Não não sou. Há mais sítios a falar português além do Brasil jovem.

No I'm not. There are more places speaking portuguese besides Brazil mister.

And that's why Mr. Caribdis is the goat.

is this game more focuses into vanilla romance or rape?
Vanilla Harem.

And remembering the uproar that happened in OIALT regarding a certain scene in Japan, it's safe to say Cari prefers to not cause another storm.
I never understood that uproar. I also hate that genre, but that scene would only happen if you were a dick. It was the scumbag choice... Having bad endings for bad choices is part of a good game, it encourages you to play well.

It's like someone playing this, and making everything for Jerry to win the contests and Dalia instead of Orion... I mean...

I played OIALT just when the trip happened, I made sure to keep Lauren out of that creep's reach but I wasn't as participative in discussions at the time so I didn't became aware of it. I learned about that storm much, much later.

What kind of scene? I played this moment with the train, but I don’t remember anything worse in OIALT, I probably deliberately tried to avoid all this crap, that’s why I probably didn’t collide

Disagree with this take considering this is one of those AVN's where the writing is a lot more concise and informative compared to a chunk of its competition where the writing is an absolute bore...or they trim the writing too much to the point that you're left with just a bunch of slideshows with little to no information to go with it.

The scene where you sell Lauren to the Yakuza, which leads to her getting raped and an early bad ending down the line.

I'm still quite sure that this game will have a bad end for assholes, like what happens in OIALT. Like, the flag you activate when penetrating Dalia in the cabin is literally named Daliarape and I doubt Caribdis will let that slide, that will come back to bite the ass of the fucker that choose to do it just like in OIALT

Now I remember everything. I'm glad I didn't encounter this and such a scene. I don't like to spoil the impression)))

I've always wondered this question! Why do some players make bad, contrived choices and then they whine? I always try to avoid such scenes even if they are there... Moreover, spoiling the impression of the plot is not my style :HideThePain:

Of course that'll come back to haunt later events. It makes you wonder what bad endings are awaiting in store if you make bad choices/act like a prick in the game. For instance, accepting Blair's amulet from the Founder is one way to probably get it.

Because people who do that are under the impression that said choices lead to an asshole playthrough and they expect a route where you become an asshole and make the LIs your concubines/sex slaves instead of lovey-dovey vanilla romance partners. Thus they become shocked when they realize that not all AVNs are about that and some (like Caribdis' work) adhere to the old-school method of AVN storytelling where there is one true choice and everything else leads to lost LI paths and bad ends. :HideThePain:

Ah, that's understandable. The thing is... knowing what bad endings await them and all sorts of cruelty, they still manage to recognize this bad choice and still complain, I've seen this in some games :HideThePain:

Although instead of complaining, they could have avoided making bad choices, right?

I mean, if you're not aware of how old-school AVN storytelling works and your first exposure is on the more modern ones where "your choices shape your character and how the story progresses and who you end up with" then I suppose it can be quite the learning experience lol.

Still, like I said, there's more than one way to tell an AVN story and I wish people would be more aware of that instead of slamming titles like this or OIAL for doing so. Not everyone has the endurance or patience to write and keep track of the various branching paths and permutations that a story could go through. No, some people just want to tell a long-ass narrative and tell it well dammit. :HideThePain:

To understand and to forgive. That's all I can say for those people who make bad decisions and still blame developer for their own choices... :coffee: :HideThePain:

Well, i wont be able to express myself corretcly in english withou extensive formating
so, i still the game has a lot of pointless dialogue, i fell like i waste my 12 hours already
I dont think the MC problems is that he isnt funny, he kinda lacks a direction, hes not the shady guy from photo hunt, nor a true standard white shoes guy from Mist, hes just a otaku, a very boring one
What i hate the most is when devs give me a option to name the character, only to me put my name in it and turns out to be a character that i cant identify nor simpatize with it
Game is bad in that regard, but I hope that it gets better later with the twists

No, he is not. He's established at the very first chapter as a horndog who has a high intellect and is decent with athletics (but not a master of it) and is not afraid to throw his hands at anyone when needed. This is contrasted by his hidden good nature, which shows up when he interacts with the other LI's and with Chang. Quite the far cry from someone who obsessively sits all day playing videogames or watching/talking about anime, like how most Otaku are depicted in media.

That legitimately made me laugh out loud (e não só porque também me diz respeito). Though you have to admit that his guess as to your nationality was statistically sound. There are as 22 times as many Brazilians as there are Portuguese...

I find that the MC has enough personality to be likeable and allow the nature and charm of the LIs to show, but not enough to be overbearing. All in all, I quite like the writing.
