A wild speculation: what if Thanatos is not one person, but several individuals pretending to be the same person? Thanatos could be, for example, some kind of elite commando or mercenary squad hunting Calypso and the Gems of Doom on behalf of the people who once imprisoned Calypso.

In principle, these Thanatos (Thanati?) would then be comparable to the Praetorians of Eternum, only much more competent, more lethal and less distractingly dressed.

I don't think you would necessarily need an amoral protagonist for something like that. You could have someone who is good and well meaning, but pragmatic. Maybe weighed against a greater good, if sacrificing something can help more people. Think trolley problem.
But a character like that wouldn't really work with your average early twenties porn game protagonist and would make more sense with an older person. Also the stakes of the world would need to be very high and apparent to justify something like that.

Not necessarily old. Full Metal Daemon Muramasa had a protagonist like that. 20-something guy, willing to kill innocents for the greater good, personal story stakes are a bit high...

Though yeah, I'm not sure if a protagonist like that would work in Caribdis' setting, especially if said protagonist ends up encountering someone who's vehemently against the "kill/sacrifice innocents" thing...like Stabby Mike.

I don't really get why there are so many people who ask for that kind of thing to just get added into games who had no content of that sort before.

Probably the kind of people who like the game's art/characters but want to go deeper into the fetish rabbit hole (like the ones a few pages back who want incest or NTR added to the game).

I mean, personally, I'd like a scenario where Orion (MC) discovers a spell that would allow him to duplicate himself and then proceed to gangbang Nancy silly until she collapses in a pool of cum with a look of full ecstasy...but you won't see me demanding Caribdis to add that kind of shit (lol).

But if you're equating that to what I'm suggesting in my earlier post, then no. All I was suggesting was for Caribdis to add a little variety in his protagonists or have protagonists that would be compatible with any fetish that he hasn't touched upon but plans to do so in any future game/story. Because otherwise he's going to end up encountering the same issue that he encountered back in OIAL with the "sell Lauren" choice: that being it feels completely OOC for the protagonist to choose said option.

I think Thanatos is the developer himself. I cant imagine , how regular player/players can find those Gems so fast. MC has super hacker Nova , who played this game pretty long , but for the whole time she found only one Legendary weapon and no Gems whatsoever, as I remembered. Also its pretty strange , that regular person is so powerful that he almost cant feel pain , even after what MC did to him during their first "fight". He is just "yeah yeah keep killing me , I don't care".
About motive , its also pretty logical. The developer said , who will find all of the Gems will rule this world. And boom , he created himself with some help of scripts and benefits from being the developer, started hunt down all the Gems to be the owner of Eternus forever and dont gave out his title of the most influenced guy in the world. Of course my theory has some downsides , but thats my thoughts.

Dude's already more powerful than Gates and Bezos in this setting combined. He doesn't need to hunt the gems and claim Eternum if people already know him as THE Eternum guy. If he wants to stay that way he could just not hold the contest. I doubt anyone would complain.

Not to mention, assuming he IS in it to keep his title as the ruler of Eternum, then why would he hunt down the gems on his own when he could just wait until a single player farms the gems, then eventually take said gems for himself before that person could step a foot into Acheron? And why give that "strength" speech to Orion if he's already a "strong" individual in the real world: having all that money, power, and influence?

The only plausible reason I can think of for him to join the contest as Thanatos is if he and Idriel were not telling the whole truth about the nature of the gems of doom and what actually happens when you reach the Temple of Acheron (but even that he could do without going in, just do what I suggested earlier: take out the one person who gets all the gems). But that only works if the Founder never really was in control of Eternum in the first place, and that the only thing he did was open the door to it with the neural implants, and that anyone going to the Temple of Acheron WILL hand you the true ability to shape Eternum to your will. That, or whatever is in the Temple of Acheron is something that the Founder covets, and that he's willing to trade in his position as the CEO of Ulysses and the position as "ruler of Eternum" if only just to get there himself.

I don't like pure NTR myself (that is, I don't like NTR stories where the protagonist is a complete wuss which leads to his LI/LI's getting taken away from him. Sharing with consent or Netori stories where the protagonist steals the girl, I'm okay with). But I honestly don't like dictating creators what they can or can't make either. If Caribdis goes back on his word because he found himself writing a standalone NTR story or a darker story with NTR or sharing elements that he strongly wants to make, I say just let him, and let those who are into it judge it for its quality.

Or maybe have him make it under a pen name, if people are just too rabidly opposed in having to associate his dev name with something as polarizing as NTR.

Yeah , thats quite an interesting idea. I've only played through the game once without giving too much importance to the Thanatos theme , which is why my opinion is so superficial.

Dalia's face really looks different at the end of 0.3 vs 0.1 .
It's certainly not worse, dunno how to say it... maybe more "mature" and soft graphic wise?
Alex dunno, will have to watch the end renders again. At first sight I don't think she changed much.
