VN - Ren'Py - Eternum [v0.8.0] [Caribdis]

What can I say other than to please play, rate and support this game monetarily as much as possible? Caribdis has already shown us their AVN creating chops through the excellent Once In a Life Time, Eternum is an improvement in every way, in the best of ways. The dialogue is smooth, the writing and plot threads are intriguing, the humour had me laughing out loud at several points, and the visual are by far and away some of the best I've seen. This is an excellent game and well worth the patreon money.

Amazing start to this new game after an excellent prior outing in "Once in a Lifetime". Eternum promises to be a worthy successor in every way, from the top-notch writing, warm humour, and beautiful design and pacing. To say I've been looking forward to this is an understatement for sure!

I played Once In A Lifetime and honestly thought it was spectacular, I even went as far as to give it my first 5-star rating. Now Caribdis comes out with Eternum and even though it's just version 0.1, the storytelling, comedic timing and visuals of the game are some of, if not the best I have ever seen. The ending of version 0.1 just makes me crave for more. Amazing work, Caribdis, I eagerly look forward to your future works.

It is such a great game so far. You can just see how much love and care this game is receiving. I laughed my ass off well more than once (micaela hahaha). It is incredible. The characters look awesome (i guess its personal taste for everyone but I very much enjoy them) and the whole experience just put me into an elevated mood. Definitely already one of my favorites and I cant wait for updates. Keep up the great work Caribdis!

The first version is already great. Im really looking forward to the story unfolding. The differences in girls is nice and im hyped for every new girl that will get added. (need some glasses girls in here). Caribdis has already shown how great a game can be with once in a lifetime so im not to stressed about this going bad. Looking Forward!

After playing Once in a Lifetime, which is a top tier game in it's own right, Eternum is a massive step up, and it's easy to tell even from the first release.

The characters, background and music all look and sound amazing. This synergizes with the same sense of humour from OiaL. Definitely looking forward to seeing where the story goes and how it'll all play out.

Highly recommended, this is going to be something special indeed.

Well, what can I say? I loved once in a lifetime, and Eternum is not only one step up but several steps up in an even better direction for both quality and story.

Renders look stunning (not easy with honey select), Some Animations look so damn good, I wasn't even sure they where even possible to put them in Renpy( envoirement from the first time arival in eternum server for instance).

Storyelements remind me a little bit on Sword Art Online, which is a good thing, but still keeps its own originality and isn't just a copycat.

Characters are lovable and even the MC has his moments without beeing a total dumbfuck with no backspine or an "I can fuck everyone badass" attitude.

Love it - definetely going to support this one on patreon. 5/5 Keep up the amazing work! This can not only - it WILL be on the top 10 VN/games list for many people, if you do things right. And since I enjoyed the last game - I know that will happen to me at least.

Iloved the models , they're relly goodlooking, the story is really facinating and entertaining , it traps players to want more and more , i relly like harem games so it's a plus for me too, the MC it's really something i like, he is kinda noob but he had the balls when it's needed so another plus for me. It's a rellay good work for my point of view so I LOVED THIS S... CHEERS

The first version was great. Good story telling, world building, introduction to characters and lewd scenes. V0.1 has only 1 sex scene but there is great introduction to main characters, an element of mystery and eroticism. The animations are excellent, characters look good, art style and backgrounds were good as well and music sets the mood for this game, the developer has an excellent sense for music. Moreover after playing 'Once in A Lifetime' the previous game of Caribdis you can expect a lot from it. Try this game at least once and you will be hooked to it.

Really loved Once in a lifetime and decided to check this out. Really impressed by the amount and quality of content there is already for a 0.1 version/initial release. The same humor I love and enjoy from Once in a lifetime is also here which is a huge plus for me. I really like the girls showed so far in the game, all have their own 'unique flavor'. The idea behind Eternum also is very interesting, I really look forward to seeing how the story progresses in the future updates. Also seeing some parts mention from Once in a lifetime is cool, I like those attention to small details. All in all really excited. 5/5 from me. For a first version you can already tell this game is going to be an absolute banger. While there is a lack of smexy content in the first build, you can just tell that this dev knows what he is doing, and has a plan. Story, humor, girls, they are all top notch, really the only thing I can say is that keep this one on your radar, whether you want to wait and play each update or wait for them to pile up for content you will not be disappointed either way.

i love the whole inside a game world. it can bring a lot of options to the game.
not sure where it's headed and i like that, some mystery maybe even horror ?
the Dev gives the same quality as on his previous work (check it out !) good humour and knowing how to set models.
i hope he stays on his own path, and keeps the fans happy with big updates !

This game is one of my absolute favourites! It has a great Story with genuine hilarious delivered jokes and puns and realistic and charismatic charakters. At the beginning only few erotic scenes wich dosen't bother me cause of the entertaining story. 10/10 looking forward for more!

The well-crafted humor of Once in a Lifetime with the plot of Ready Player One (and maybe Inception? TBD). I really hope this story continues.

The models are Honey Select but polished. A story has to be great for me to get over the Honey Select hump, but this one does, and the doors HS opens for animation/etc. are great. The settings feel like a big step up from Once in a Lifetime (esp Eternum), which also helps keep the whole thing feeling high production value.

I think my issue with the game was that the MC is just such a gonk that it removed me from the story almost immediately. Again, this is another one of those cyberpunk/futuristic games that I inevitably have a hard time getting into, but I end up trying anyway because the dev has a good reputation from having made a really good game previously. I think one of my biggest issues is, I hate whatever rendering software this is (I think it's Honey Select, but I don't know enough about this sort of thing to be definitive), so in order for me to get past that, the story has to be really great and hit every button for me, and unfortunately, this one doesn't. Obviously, these are the sorts of things that boil down to personal choice, but at the end of the day, I found the renders really ugly and the story wasn't good enough to make up for it.

For a RenPy game:

Pros:
-nice looking characters, some are quite charming
-interesting idea, if it's somehow turned into an open world type game it would be great
-there's a lot of soft scenes

Cons:
-the thing is so short it's not worth playing
-would be a shite game if the devs don't let the player do whatever he wants, as the description claims
-some dialogue choices have literaly no effect besides a few changed text lines, and the ones that would have an effect still don't because the sections of the game where they WOULD have an impact haven't been introduced yet

Wow! What an amazing start for a 0.1 version, certainly more content than most games at this stage and well worth a play.

"Virtual world that's more than it seems at first" is a familiar concept (although not really for porn games), but it's got a couple twists, along with beautiful women, some fun scenes, and excellent animations and environments.

Gorgeous visuals and solid writing. Good use of humor and inside references. This was an insta-pledge for me.

In terms of writing quality, I wouldn't put this in the absolute top tier, but it's not that far behind (maybe comparable to Then & Now or Harem Hotel). Visually, it's better than any of the above.

Lots of content for a 0.1. The real test will be how long we wait for and how much we get when the next one drops-- he probably spent a lot longer than a single normal dev cycle on this version. If the developer (Caribdis) can generate solid drops every month or two I'll keep throwing money at him.

Huge ass amount of content, I spent almost 3 hours playing, I think, as I slow read and savoured the content.

The game is extremely fun and has a very unique premise, a mixture of both Ready Player One and a bit of SAO with the neuro thingy together with his/her signature sense of humor.

Easiest 5 stars as of now, and I will gladly update this when the game completes, but I highly doubt I will change the rating.
