Agreed waiting for the next release will be a pain especially considering Caribdis level of quality ( and Mutt&Jeff deliver lots of goods too so yeah double the pain), but honestly I would never wish for a rush delivery if this would result in a subpar work.
Out of my favorite VNs right now, I think PC is likely the next to get an update sometime around the beginning of April...and that would be the best case right now...could also be June or July.
A lot of people seem to think that most game developers are just lazy, but the fact that they all take that long just means...well, it just takes that long to make a sizeable quality update.Agreed waiting for the next release will be a pain especially considering Caribdis level of quality ( and Mutt&Jeff deliver lots of goods too so yeah double the pain), but honestly I would never wish for a rush delivery if this would result in a subpar work.
Yeah, sadly that's starting to happen too often, I mean you need to either choose between quality and quantity or getting... Well bad ( )releases let's say that....A lot of people seem to think that most game developers are just lazy, but the fact that they all take that long just means...well, it just takes that long to make a sizeable quality update.
That makes waiting for it not a lot easier though.
Yea unfortunately poop is not one of my fetishes, so I'll stick to waiting for quality releasesYeah, sadly that's starting to happen too often, I mean you need to either choose between quality and quantity or getting... Well bad poop releases let's say that....
The problem arise when you need to wait for a story that get you so addicted that you have withdrawal symptoms when you don't get your fix often, like it happen for Eternum, and that's a real pain I couldn't agree more...
There really aren't that many, I think. Basically the top 5 here in the forum.Yea unfortunately poop is not one of my fetishes, so I'll stick to waiting for quality releases
Though I need more games of this calibre to come out cuz not only am I getting withdrawal as well, but they making every other game seem unplayable
Couldn't agree more, it's the same for me too, before I was more lenient and played games that now would give me the goosebumps, but that's the price you pay when you get a very higher quality work, everything that's under that standard will make you cringe for a reason or another, it's unavoidable.Yea unfortunately poop is not one of my fetishes, so I'll stick to waiting for quality releases

If you ever want to start a civil war, start debating who is the "best girl".Although to be fair, that war was somewhat civil compared to the froth-inducing shitstorm that's usually associated with "who is best waifu" discussion threads.
(I say somewhat because I still feel salty at the outcome of that damn poll)
I've started to not be able to agree with myself over this...If you ever want to start a civil war, start debating who is the "best girl".
She's a weapon and seems capable of independent action; maybe she isn't truly a "NPC" as we normally think of that - something with fully dependent reactions and no real ability to think, speak or act outside of a well defined set of parameters.I know the AI said the NPC's aren't fuckable but what do you guys think are the odds of getting a taste of Calypso?
The image of Dalia after the workout competition where she is exhausted and sweaty puts this one to rest for me. I know which camp I am in.I've started to not be able to agree with myself over this...
I thought I was firmly in camp Alex, but re-playing some of Luna's best scenes...I'm not so sure about that anymore. The image of Dalia after the workout competition where she is exhausted and sweaty puts this one to rest for me. I know which camp I am in.
Big-business game developers take years to put out unfinished products with many, MANY people working on them and charge top dollar. Do people complain about that? Absolutely, and if they pay for it then they have a right to do so if they think they're getting something that's not worth what they paid (I'm looking at you Cyberpunk!)A lot of people seem to think that most game developers are just lazy, but the fact that they all take that long just means...well, it just takes that long to make a sizeable quality update.

Believe it or not, but lots of patrons come from this forum. You can be a pirate and a patron, you can't support every games unless you're filthy rich. I myself support a dozen games I knew of here. This is my goto site to find that kind of games, and a lot of them are even free to play, some with just a delayed public release. Like Eternum itself...So while I understand the sense of impatience (which I sometimes feel as well) I will never understand all the complaining about how long it takes for these "chapters" to be released on this forum.
If Patrons or Subscribestars(?) or whatever people on subscription services or buyers of finished products want to complain, at least they're paying for the right to do so. The people who do so here need to take a chill pill ...
I totally understand that. I just don't agree that this is the place to do the "complaining" ... if you want to vent, that's fine. I don't even care if you complain because because you want it faster. But if you're going to insult the dev because you don't think he's doing enough to satisfy you, at least do it on the paid forum showing you have a potentially valid reason for being upset.Believe it or not, but lots of patrons come from this forum. That said, you can't really complain about this dev, he's very consistent with good practices. But a lot of other ones deserve the complaints, even from freeloaders.
