The only recommendation I can give is to either give it a real chance and let it breath or move away. Eternum is not a game to "skim" through, it is a slow cooker with the story and characters taking precedent over having as many scenes as possible. So if you don't care about story or characters in your VNs and just want to get to sex scenes as quickly as possible, this isn't the game for you.
The beginning is very clichee and not super interesting, but it unironically get a LOT better after the first 10/15%
If you want to "make it work", then you should probably try, I don't know, actually playing the game past the first 5 minutes
I'd say your loss, but if you really want to make it work you need to not skim. Put down a hour or two and take it all in, soon you realize that you've been enjoying the ride for six hours, it's 3AM and you need to hit the bed. (this is totally not what has happened to me for several days, YOU CAN'T PROVE ANYTHING)
Couldn't agree more. Without the story, the anticipation, the feelings you've gathered along the way... the intimacy is meaningless and not rewarding. You're sadly better off finding to get your quick fix somewhere else. I hate to say this to you Dmoll ... I think this might be the case for most great story rich VN's
