Funfact I discovered when comparing the code from 0.7 and 0.8.
Did you know Alex's coach was a guy before ?

Are you interest of some other change Caribdis made to the dialogue like that ?
Per exemple in 0.7 all the dialogue said "The 10 gems" and in 0.8 that change for "The ten gems".

I thought about the coach stuff when playing and then forgot...
I have to admit i'm a bit curious but too lazy to check.
Are there some other (notable ?) changes ?

Ahah not exactly. My fear is if that content isn´t avoidable. Leave that choice to the player. A lot of players here will want to get some of them pregnant, or all of them, and other players like me don´t want any of that. We should both get the choice to do that.
If it was up to just me, it would all be facials/cum in mouth finishes. But Cari likes his creampies, so here we are.

I'm of the same camp. One of the best (if not the best) updates so far for me (even though it wiped 3/4ths of my theory board ).

And yes, I also liked the Stanley Parable section because I thought it was a creative way to showcase Orion's fears while giving him that final push to make him commit to his relationships. Plus it's also the one time his game dev/programmer background gets referenced again, which is something I thought Cari kinda forgot.

I enjoyed the SP section as well, and that’s having never heard of it before. As I started playing it I thought it might end up being a chore, but it wasn’t too long, just the right length to be enjoyable without being overly repetitive, and it did bring a lot of things into focus of Orion, and the player.

Yes, 0.8's scenes are even better. But no, these scenes are NOT mediocre.

For more context on my opinion, I thought the Luna scene is 7 was spectacular, before that scene I was really not interested in her at all, after it she catapulted to tied with Alex in the number two spot. I didn't like the Penny scene, and it brought her down a peg for me to last place. The Nova scene I also didn’t like, but have come to appreciate more over time. My main issues with those two scenes were awkward animations (several in the Penny scene) and distorted body shapes (especially Nova‘s hips/ stomach/neck in the first sequence).

Interesting take, given that there are a tonne of people who gush over the story and how they would play the game for the story alone even without lewds, or how this should be a mainstream tv show, etc. While I wouldn’t go that far, I do think the story in Eternum is head and shoulders better than most adult games, it has weight to it, while still being mostly a lighthearted comedy adventure.

Where in the story did the game lose you? Which parts don’t make sense?

I don't think the story is all that confusing. There are certainly AVNs here with absolute garbage for stories that are incoherent, full of plot holes, or just don't even try to tell a story. What's nonsense to you?

Cause honestly for me his character is kinda getting stale and boring already. I get his supposed to be this intimidating and looming threat for Orion and the gang but I'm just at a point where every time he's mentioned or appears on screen I groan and say "ah shit, here we go again" in a disappointed tone. Learning his backstory in that one update was cool and all but he's a one trick pony for me as of now. He just appears, does some OP shit, kill someone (usually Jerry) then dips over and over again. Lastly, idk but the more I see him, he's kinda looking like a bargain bin yoshimitsu cosplay.

Don't know if my take is controversial or not, feel free to roast me if it is but Im just meh to this guy XD

I was expecting more out of the next encounter. We spent all this time tracking down his real name and family, learning about his past and his status as a dead NPC, and it felt like it meant nothing.

Orion mentioned it to him during their fight, and it just rolled off his shoulders like nothing. He didn't seem to care whatsoever.

I was kind of hoping we would get some more characterisation. Learn a bit more about his motives, his past and history, and more about his side of the story. But instead, we got nothing.

Not really? The lines preceding this was Orion telling her that she's not supposed to be there as it's the real world, and not Eternum. She agrees to this, and also says it's the reason why he was going to die. In that context, "no coin, no reset" sounds more like he doesn't get second chances in real life unlike in Eternum where there's a lot of ways to survive and that he could deal with dying because it's his projection that dies, not him.


He never had a vision of Caly except a few that were shown with her in "weapon" form (that orb thingy that Idriel showed when she was doing that infodump about the weapons). His headaches of the Founder are less "visions" and seemingly more about the dead trying to warn him about him and telling him not to trust the guy.


Again, either they've witnessed it in person or they've seen every single possible future there is because they have foresight (or at least, they thought they did until Orion basically chose tails). Either could be true.


Part of me thinks it's cryptic symbolism of what will be (or what came before if you subscribe to the loop theory). There's a render there that shows Caly in "weapon" form similar to the Idriel infodump, yet when we bust her out we see she doesn't look like that. We see him bleeding with his powers activated while in a morgue, which could symbolize him surviving/reviving from his "death" with his powers (which he did technically). Now that I think about it, Caly being in those renders could also symbolize that his survival/revival was going to involve her.

Would be funny tho if this is the reason why Idriel thinks it's pointless to tell Orion shit, because most of what they see are cryptic bullshit to any normal person, and only someone versed in interpreting said visions would understand what they mean. Couple that with Orion not remembering his dreams, and it truly would be totally pointless.


I don't think she can do that. The infodump on Limbo makes it sound more like she is (or they are, if the Syndicate also happens to be there) in a unique position to view past, present, and future. Being able to project herself (or themselves) from there to everywhere, anywhere, all at once could also explain how she (or they) could seemingly pop in and out during convenient moments in the story, and why she (and/or the Syndicate) have some sort of prescience on events that would yet come to pass.

I think you're overlooking the no coin no reset. I mean, Idriel is flipping the coin throughout the game and keeps bringing it up so we know it's an object she has, and it's unrelated to how people can come back if their astral projection dies. It'd be an oddly specific thing to say if it was meant more as a metaphor for second chances. There's something she can do in Eternum that's saved Orion's ass before, but can't do that in real life, or how that's how interpret it.

Eternum is full of magic where anything is possible, and considering how we now know Orion can live in both worlds all the same, then her powers can be significant to Orion's past and origins.

All we know about the Limbo is that it's Idriel's prison. I like your theory about the Syndicate, but no way to know if it's true. Although, to me, all those comments like "we've already tried" or "will this time be different" doesn't line up with just having foresight, they're more concrete, like they've been there witnessing events happening and tried to physically influence them multiple times, so I don't think we're talking just visions.

You mentioned Orion not remembering his dreams, which is brought up half a dozen times in the game. I always thought it's weird because he seems to remember it immediately after it happened (like feeling his neck when he was chained), but then never thinks of them again and seems to believe the next dream is always a first. It's definitely a clue for something. His headaches when something important is happening. Idriel wanting him to remember. His dance with Penny and feeling like he learned to dance in another life.

It all points to a lot having happened in the past, and there's only so much that could've happened in a 18 year old's life. If you ask me, there either has to be a loop (maybe even during the game we don't know about) or he's lived multiple lives.

To be fair, I like the way he introduced him to this update. This whole update was about him slowly but surely getting to all the finishing touches with the girls and showing how he was getting progressively stronger, and then BAM, he shows up before him.

and the story is absolutely great.
