CEOs are appointed by a board of directors. This whole 10 gems to become CEO is just the lure to get people to hunt/fight for the gems IMHO. The real reason why the Founder created the neural implant, exit portals, inventory system is far more sinister I bet. At least that's the info we got from William Bardot if he can be trusted. I bet he has his own hidden agenda as well.

How do you explain the 9th gem being in the hands of the Founder?

-The easiest explanation is that he found it prior to the creation of the VRMMO, realized the enormity of the task required in finding all of them, and thus made him come up with the whole scheme of using unpaid normies to do the dirty work for him. The only reason he's putting it as a reward is because the xenomorph crisis is threatening to unravel the truth about Eternum to the world and thus put a halt to the gem hunt (and the Founder could ill afford that from happening, not when only one gem remains unfound)

-An intern or agent from Ulysses found it recently, but rather than announce the find to the world Ulysses decides to use it to motivate players to clean house and keep the VRMMO deception going. The Founder is okay with this since ultimately the gems will end up in his hands once all are found

I put off playing this game because of the whole virtual reality thing since that kind of things in other games here are usually pretty dumb. In other games when all the characters play an RPG or something it's usually my least favorite part. But I started Eternum two days ago and this has to be one of the most well made games here. The writing is good, this is first game from this site where I have actually laughed at a joke. And this game does more with the renpy engine than any other I've played. The sex scenes are also excellent even though I've seen only a few so far. The BJ scene with nova was great.

im not going to argue the posibility of callypso scene but there is no way its going to be as simple as orion being like "well... i was planning to focus on confesing my love to girls in RL but since i am already stuck in this new world with sexy elf might as well scratch that off my bucket list"...

You might be right, I was just going with what fitted the schedule. He´s already there with her, no one else can get in, so it´s a perfect situation to have that scene. Callypso has been very comfortable in her interactions with Orion, which could make this scene even more likely. And if Cari has plans for a scene with her, might as well be now, because later Orion will be to busy with his harem to have any more side adventures.

Calypso is definitely not getting a full-blown sex scene in 0.9, she hasn't even physically pleasured Orion yet. Probably a blowjob from Calypso in 0.9, she's for sure gonna be the "last to fall" character. She thinks too highly of herself to go that fast, even with Orion (who she suspects now might be related to her ancestor, a.k.a. royalty like her)
