To be fair, OiaL was set to be a lot sillier than Eternum is now. Eternum is a lot more down to Earth, but it is still meant to be the same Universe and there is still crazy stuff happening, like Luna's powers for example. And as far as we know, magic might also work in what we would call the "real world", considering Orion was able to travel between the real world and Eternum without technically connecting to it.

Spoiler tag this as we got a new player here going through Eternum atm.

Also, Eternum's less silly partly because of how the story is told. OIAL was more Goonies/Scooby Doo-style adventure (with the mystery angle eventually taking a backseat around 0.5), while Eternum is more of a mystery-adventure story set in a Ready Player One-esque environment. The former's bound to be a lot more ridiculous compared to the latter.

Regardless, yes, it's still set in the same universe, so they ought to share the same elements found in said setting for consistency's sake.

Ah, so we're in a universe where magic exists in the "real world". Well that explains everything!
You could have just said that everyone here is working from this unspoken premise. I just took people here too literally when they talked about the "real world".
My mistakes! Move on!

Amen to that, brother. (y)

Penny, Nancy or Calypso... It is so sad we haven't seen any of them in corsets by now.

View attachment 3708916
Nancy might find that tight of a corset too constricting and Caly might find the thing too demeaning (and possibly nuke Orion if he presses the issue further).

Penny tho? With that fetish of hers?

Huh, well, who would doubt that bimbo likes to be tied up and devalued :)
Everything is as it should be.
"Bimbo." Right. Nevermind the fact that she managed to outsmart her "future self" during the Dark Arts test back at Warthogs. Or hold out on her own with the Vampires if you chose to look for Luna and the Memewolves instead. Or that she realized quickly how important her mom's job interview was that she sacrificed her dance night to look after Orion and Dalia when they were kids.

She didn't do anything significant anyway.
The mere act of not going to the dance helped secure Nan's job which eventually allowed her to gain a connection with Ulysses when the latter took an interest in her company's research (with the connection later on becoming fruitful during Orion's search for the other gem holders in the real world, namely Thanatos in particular). Plus the job security allowed her to become an ideal host for Orion during his stay in Kredon, thus allowing the events of the story to play out as is.

"Every decision creates ripples," as a wise Time Lord used to say. In Penny's case her small acts are just as important as Annie deciding to go with Orion to Kredon and thus convincing him to take the exchange student program. Just because they're not on the grand side doesn't make them any less significant.

Man! What a journey these two weeks were! I finished playing 0.7.5 two days ago and I'm missing my girls!
Everything is outstanding in this game. Now I'm having a hard time finding another game that doesn't look dull in comparison.
Oh well....let's see if Once in a lifetime makes the wait a little easier...
I've been a bit obsessed since I finished 0.75 last week. I don't know why, as it's the update I enjoyed the least since I've had to wait between episodes (started at 0.3 so had three episodes at once so it's hard to judge them individually).

Played the whole way through again at the weekend, and started another on my steam deck this week. Which reminds me, I need to update the game from 0.6 to 0.75 on SD.

What can I say? The game just makes me feel good when I play, even when I'm starting to know the dialogue by heart.
