replayed the first chapter to refresh my memory and see what changed.
wasn't MC a virgin before coming to see Eva ? I think I remember him saying to her that it will be his first time. and maybe her also saying the same, or that she is still a virgin on Earth but not in Eternum ? but there was nothing about any of that now. was I hallucinating it ?
now that we know the extent of Annie's true power, there was no need for her to be careful with Benjamin. she could have easily oneshot him in the back and he would never know who killed him. just like Jerry never know who killed him when she obliterated the planet side.
also, right now, it seems he can't die. every time he is about to die, he teleports spontaneously. and that might not happen with an astral body as he could die in the first xenomorph attack.
and awakening to a new power when you die or during a fight, both are very common tropes. none is really "better" than the other. it's just your bias and preference
there might be a strict condition to using it properly as Thanatos doesn't pull it out in every fight. maybe it consumes your life or your soul to be able to cut through everything ?
MC even has a nice picture of her.
Penny seems to still keep in touch too. though not as close as her sister as there is a whole ocean separating them.
Calypso couldn't teleport herself to Hyril'ar either.
it took a life or death situation where she pushed her magic to the extreme. but if that was enough, the Elarisil ritual should also have been enough to allow her to teleport herself.
the one variable that wasn't there before : MC.
maybe Calypso and MC needed to combine their teleportation power together to be able to jump that far.
but there was no portal on arrival. so maybe it's because MC was about to die that he teleported both of them, boosted with her magic.
whenever life or death is involved, MC gets something new.
the fact that he can't travel back probably means he needs Calypso to do it. or that his power is sealed in Hyril'ar ?
we don't know if it's stronger, as dione is much more flexible from what we know, and you can transform it into a very powerful gun that can oneshot the kraken.
and i'm guessing Hyas is not easy to use as Thanatos seems to avoid using it when he thinks the doesn't need it. either there is a heavy condition to using it, or there is a cooldown or something like that ?

he can come and go when he wants. he doesn't depend on exit portals anymore. that can come in handy if he gets locked up or stuck or trapped and can't get out.

MC can still use his teleportation power on Earth, and he might be able to use his boost power too but he never tried, so there is a good chance Calypso can keep her powers on Earth too.
why limit yourself ? what about foursomes, fivesomes ?
it was not Hyas, but it was weird that Thanatos didn't use Hyas there. if he wanted to kill MC for sure, there was no reason he wouldn't use it and oneshot his enemy. He could also kill Calypso with Hyas instead of chaining her.
immortal doesn't mean you can't get injured. it usually mean you can't die, or you can't die from old age. or in the game, it refers to people that are descended from the bad guy from Calypso's story, and who can travel to Eternum.
players do understand how he survived... he teleported himself next to Calypso, and she healed him. that's literally explained by her at the start of the update...
dying is a panic situation...

it would be boring if it was the same. the fact that it's meles is already a good limitation compared to Dione that is ranged.

My theory would be different.Hehe yeah it's exactly what I was trying to say by servers. I mean, we already know Earth and Eternum are in different dimensions. However -like you- I too think Hyril'ar is also in another dimension. So Gems can't be in Hyril'ar just like the way they can't be in Earth. Because Gems belong to Eternum dimension. Not to others... and it means the 10th Gem must be in Eternum.

In this theory, at the end of 0.8 Caly teleported herself and Orion to Dimension 3 aka Hyril'ar. This perfectly explains why he couldn't use his powers to teleport their bodies back. Because as an Immortal he can only travels between Dimension 1 and Dimension 2. Yes, he can be in Dimension 3 but it's just because of Caly. In other words, If Caly can teleport Orion with her to Hyril'ar then I think Orion can also teleport Caly with him to Earth.

Yes the MC was a virgin. He will state that when he talks to nancy when they have sex in the elvator i think but only if you did not had sex with Eva or Maat. I only know that because it was like that in my first (blind) run, maybe its the same for you and if you play "perfect" you wont get that dialogue instead he will state that he has some experience.
Hmm maybe this conversation was in the roman pool with nancy and not in the elevator, im not entirely sure at this point.
Orion states in the elevator lewd that this is the first time he has sex outside of eternum in any way.
Annie mentioned that shes sometimes just frozen/overwhelmed/in panic which is kinda fitting for her too. And the Benjaming situation involving the rape probably felt to real for her to act appropriate.
I fail to remember who it was, but someone stated that dione is the weakest of the atlas weapons. I think it was either thanatos or william bardot .. hmm or a praetorian? Maybe someone else remembers?
Im not sure about Hyas, maybe its just not thiiiiiis great for literal fighting but he used it against the werner company and i doubt he really would have needed to use it instead of other sword/whatever in this situation, these were just some goons.
Why would thanatos think he needs hyas against weak humans but against orion a weaker blade is fine?
A cooldown could be possible i guess, or its just more of a tool to change servers/dimension and less a amazing weapon.

yeah i agree on the boring part. what i now wonder is that maybe he cant use it indoors, i already deleted the game (needed space on my laptop) but someone maybe remembers, the first time they meet (orions first session with dalia) did he use the hyas because if not then only time we see him use it is outdoors, maybe there is connection there.

i swear i thought the same for so long but when i checked last time apparently its a prison slang for openly gay or trans person

You could infer from her dialogue that she's afraid that Benjie could ask Axel to look into it and the latter could ask William to look into it, leading to the latter using his influence in the company to check the logs as to who killed Benjie (since Annie is still operating with the logic that Eternum is a VRMMO) and THEN put her in a world of hurt. We now know however that William couldn't give two shits about that, but Annie doesn't at the time, so she's quite fearful about it.
Considering how Thanny was able to defeat Orion in a 1v1 AGAIN without using Hyas he likely thought that he didn't had to use it on someone as "weak" as him (and he was right).

What an update, overall very impressed but there are some minor things that annoy me.
The good:
We finally are getting to the stage where the MC realizes he's building a Harem and not denying it. As in OIAL, Cardi does this incredible well where we actually feel that the MC loves everyone, as each has their own personality and reason as to why the MC loves them. Good forshadowing with multiple threesomes (Annie+Luna, Dalia+Alex, Nova+Penny) and a clear Harem leader in Nancy. Renders and Animations are top notch again, but we come to expect that. Plot moves forward at a reasonable pace with a getting another Gem and meeting Tartanus/Wyatt.
The bad:
MC's ability to teleport to Eternum was a good idea, but as many said before, he should have never gone with Dalia. He nearly died a week before while walking to get Pizza, but now wants to spy on a Billionaire which they suspect uses some form of cheats/illegal method to win the event. The only reason is so we can have Dalias first time be in Eternum but still in Reality, which felt kinda meh. No scenes with Penny at all after the last Sex scene felt a bit surprising, as well as giving Nova back to back scenes. We all knew that most girls are Virgins, but having two first times in one update made the 2nd one with Dalia not as special, could have spaced it out over multiple updates or changed the order of the girls in previous updates.
The ugly:
Not to much, main problem I had is that EVERY girl is a Sex freak. I got it with Alex, Penny and Nova. Their personalities make sense as they feel more mature (Alex, Penny) or you could sense it with their shyness (Nova). But for Annie, that made 0 sense. Annie is like 155cm, barely 18 and looks like shes weighting 50kg, so I didn't really understood why Cardi went this hard with Annies 2nd Scene (after she came back from the Bathroom). We already have 6 girls which all liked to be fucked hard, why couldn't Annie be different? Why not make her someone where MC has sensual Sex with more words of affirmation and intimate moments?
Overall:
Even though I did wrote more negative things then I expected at first, this probably comes because we all have such high expectations of this game. None of these are game breaking or "I'm never going to play this again" and also some personal preferences. This game is one of the Top 3 and with each update raises the bar for the other games (Pale Carnation and BAD especially) which should make us all incredibly happy.
Great update, can't wait for the next one.
Also, I didn't love the Dream sequence, but also didn't hate it. It was fun but I would prefer if for future updates the time of development would be spend on more Lore and Plot, but I'm pretty sure Cardi has earned the right to do the things he wants to do.
