There are ways to include certain checks in the game for things like mods, a certain dev is infamous for it. I'm not entirely sure how you would introduce Patreon checks since Renpy games don't connect to the internet, but even if you could it would probably be pretty easy for anyone to get around with it once they have the files - even if they can't play them right away, they can unpack them and edit that part out of the code. It only stops people who don't know enough to do that until someone else does it.

the ones who own every model texture and basicaly own/paid anything they used yes, when you use assets who you dont own or have the rights for you cant do much about it, some countries have some special laws covering those kind of cases who basicaly forbid that kind of lock

I've seen a few renpy games able to check if an update exists. I also saw patreon checks for DLC access.
In any case, Renpy being in Python, you could easily bypass all of this, so that wouldn't do much to prevent privacy (also, talking about combatting piracy on a piracy website... I do love the irony)

There are many ways to implement online check and encryption system but these are all useless cause python is pretty transparent by nature so it's really easy to crack it...

Only thing dev can do is include a unique hash for each user to download so whoever leaks it can be easily tracked down by the unique hash.

It could be thought of as a business expense. If cari has an old school view of piracy, he could do it.
I, for example, went for Eternumite once and considered Demon lord for 0.8's release, but when I realised that it gets leaked here too, i never considered DL again
