MC is somehow descended from queen Anima. Caly says as much. Probs through our mom who disappeared when we were young. Does that make him a relative of Caly's? IDK. My guess is that Idriel and Than have been subverted by Alex's dad possibly via the NPC control box those praetorians wanted on the old West server or maybe by original design. Dunno how the Founder fits in yet. But he MIGHT not even be a real person (or perhaps not anymore).

This is a consistent problem with harem games, the devs always plays favorites, showering one girl with all the scenes while there's at least one girl with less than half everyone else's.
Whatever, that's...fine. That's good and fine and I'm not upset or bitter in the slightest...
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go scream into the void for the next, *checks calendar* jesus, nine months. Maybe the dev will remember that Luna exists during that time and finally shows her some love.

Personally i think in universe her vision is what is putting her off. Which is a good story beat. it makes sense that she isn't getting scenes if she herself is kinda distant. Plus she's the shyest of the whole group. Something like that needs to be handled with absolute care. it's delicate. Annie likely would've been the same way if she hadn't also been outgoing at the same time. She's hyperactive so she pushes forward. Luna is entirely reserved. Out of universe she is the single most popular character by far i think. Outside of Calypso who is such a special case, i think this is one they really want to take special care for.

I loved the update but there are some things a bit eh...

I don't like how comedy is an excuse to betray what the story wants to convey. Serious moments that should have a lasting impression on the players get shrugged off extremely fast and sometimes even contradicted by making the characters do some stupid shit, and while the comical tone of the VN is good, it doesn't mean you should betray what you've written for the sake of 15 lines of dialogue that are a bit funny but unoriginal given the VN is repetitive with its jokes.

That aside, the strengths remain strong: wholesome moments with the girls that aren't particularly iconic yet they manage to be super effective and work perfectly for building the long-lasting relationships
Crazy situations that in some way or another try to push the possibilities within Renpy that create different and unpredictable scenarios that feel fresh no matter how advanced we're in the novel.
And while the animations are scarce compared to other more porn-focused games, they still manage to be hot as hell and that's mostly because the models are good and because the game has managed to emotionally link us to them.
And the cliffhanger.

Not necessarily. Yliar siphoned some of her powers. Calypso indicates the Immortals would be of Yliar's bloodline, that doesn't necessarily mean Anima is their foremother. Yliar could've just fathered children with human females. It would explain why the Immortals abilities are limited as they inherit stolen powers, rather than genes from the source itself.

Now that we can presume Hyril'ar is real, the story probably originates back to the times Yliar was the King and had Anima as his puppet. His goal was to connect alternate worlds and amass riches. Maybe he used Anima to colonize said worlds, and that's how the bloodline came to Earth, and if there were elves, it could mean Alex has a little piece of it in her as Calypso thought.

But yeah, we don't know if MC is actually an Immortal. Idriel drops a pretty big piece of info...

Void from which you came sounds pretty important. MC's powers have a very "void-like" appearance to them from other fantasy games, where void creatures often have a black aura.

Void traditionally has no concept of time (and Idriel is imprisoned in Limbo, where time doesn't exist). MC could still originate from anywhere and from any timeline. Maybe his original self was an Eldari, same as the mysterious man from Calypso's story. Eldari were human-like but had magical prowess. Seems pointless to introduce such a character and race if it didn't come to play at some point. But I don't know.

As far as the Founder, as a reminder there's this render from Warthogs device.

The device shows past events, can't say for sure if this is actually real, but it is Ulysses headquarters and silhouettes of kid MC and the Founder.

If the Founder and MC are both Immortals, I guess we can't dismiss this either...

TBH the entire New World part feels like a filler :/ I never thought I will skip through parts of Eternum, but here we are. Also, while visually it's still stunning, I feel like the last 2 updates are missing the mystery bit that was so captivating in the earlier updates. I know it's already 0.8, but IMO Once in a lifetime was maybe better paced in that aspect?

I feel like it's more likely that Orion and the Founder met at one point in Eternum when the former was a kid, likely from a bleeding effect moment that he forgot (when his powers were still in its infancy).

As to where he got his powers, it could be from his mother side instead if we go by your theory. I just don't think Cari would be lazy enough to repeat the same twist that he pulled in OIAL, so I'm leaning on the idea that his dad is really his dad, and that there's probably a reason why he's so distant to his own son (maybe he just didn't appreciate being a single dad, or maybe he loved Orion's mom very much and the separation still pains him that he keeps his distance from his own son because he reminds him of her...there's a lot of possibilities regardless).

I feel like this and the conspiracy lizardmen callback to OIAL is Cari setting up some stuff for the next game. That or he's just having way too much fun with some of the worldbuilding fluff in this update. :HideThePain:

Do you guys think there will be any problems with the girls when the harem is revealed to them?

Nancy is obviously no problem and already prepared Nova so these two are clear already

Annie seems to at least very strongly suspect it already and doesnt mention it so i think shes fine too

Calypso seems to be fine with and used to harems and orion having "maidens" :ROFLMAO:

Penny seems to be into sharing and possibly even into her man having a harem, following the footsteps of her mother, shes fine with it too

Luna got the fast forward cheatcode due to her vision and seems to get used to the idea, no problems here

Alex is 100% fine with sharing with Dalia lol, not sure how she feels about a whole harem but orion is her daddy already anyway, too late to back out :ROFLMAO: maybe some minor upset but i think not too much of a big deal and she may suspects it already too

Dalia however seems to be the only one who's entirely cluesless (penny maybe too but shes different) and didnt even at all got what alex implied with her messages lol, shes the only one i could imagine getting a bit more upset about the situation and i cant wait for her to get really competitive with penny :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Hahaha who cares about the story or plot if the game keeps me laughing out loud so many times, I play games to have fun and there is few as funny as Eternum. Yeah I know the story and characters are also great and it has a big production value and that is why this thread has over 1800 pages (on the default 20 posts per page) but just for the humor alone this is a precious gem, all the rest added is what make this game on my top3 AVNs for sure.
