I just wanted to lightly touch this; some drama is absolutely fine. But, as you know, tragedy and drama are not the same thing. This game is a strange mixed bag at times. It isn't sunshine and bunnies all the time, but in my opinion, it would feel out of character to end on a tragic note. (Unless it is just one of many possible outcomes/endings and then, totally, I can see it. You didn't have your girls back? Here are the consequences.) For any lesser reasons, it would probably feel cheap and unwarranted.

I hope this is just a bad taste joke by Caribdis, because if in fact some girl dies after everything that has been lived with them, it would be the worst fuck up ever in a game, I just pray because actually this is a joke, seriously.... if that happens, this will go from being my favorite game to the one I hate the most.

I'm not saying there shouldn't be a dramatic ending, that would be fine, for whoever likes it, of course, not for me. But at least if you plan to do that, there is also a happy ending with the harem, we have enough misfortunes in real life, so that it happens in our favorite games too. It would be great if it has 2 or even 3 different endings if.

I hope you're right man, but I don't know, I wouldn't be so sure, after all Caribdis would make the decision, not us, his patreon maybe, but... us. I definitely don't think so.

Either that, or a solution like in Muv Luv Alternative: Several of the characters we have come to know and love actually, really die, and it's incredibly sad and just as irreversible as in real life. Accordingly, it hits extremely hard. However, there is some extra trick that makes it totally bearable for the readers. (I hope saying that much doesn't spoil Muv Luv for anyone, as it is one of the few visual novels that are actually better and longer than Eternum and are real top literature comparable to the top classical novels. It's just not an adult visual novel like Eternum, though adult enough to have found a place on this site.) The world of Eternum is fantastic enough that something like this should be possible. I have an idea how I would implement it. And of course it would make for a great cliffhanger.

I think the 0.10 update might be related to something happening to Calypso. She’s the most powerful and she has the blood of Queen Anima. I don’t think she’ll die, but something bad might happen to her.

As for the LIs dying, I don’t think that will happen. Some people might want something dramatic to raise the stakes, but I’m pretty sure almost 90% of the audience wouldn’t like it if something happened to the LIs. This is one of those few games where everyone likes every LI. It’s not a game where people dislike certain characters or LIs. All the girls are written really well, and anything happening to any of them wouldn’t sit well with the audience. At the end of the day, this is a porn game with a really good story.

Don't focus to much on the "version " numbers, is just "cosmetic". Treat every update is what it is, an Episode, or chapter. The upcoming gonna be episode 9 . and I don't remember the exact number but Caribdis said something along the line , that around 12 episode can be expected,

Good point. Primarily, I was just meaning that it would be extremely weird if out of nowhere Cari suddenly changed the versioning format or something. It should just proceed as you might expect. But technically, his next version could be called v.justiceForJerry and it could still be Ep9.

Interesting you feel that way; IMO it was one of the weakest parts of that game. Most of the LIs don't know about any of the others, none of the LIs know about all of the others, until they all meet on the plane, boom, one big, pregnant, happy family. I've been concerned for a while (or rather, been hoping for a while) that Eternum will do a better job in this regard, and it looks like it's well on track to do so. Just the fact that four of them are living under the same roof (with MC), and the other three have quickly all become good friends (with each other, with the Carters, and with Annie) puts this scenario ahead.

Can't say the same for Calypso tho, considering that while Cari said she's "part of the harem...but different," she still doesn't have a dedicated LI page. And that kinda bothers me since it's possible that there might be a terrible reason why she doesn't have one even at this point in the main story.

Also while Cari is using the 0.9 -> 0.10 -> 0.11 -> etc. numbering scheme, he is thinking about changing it (tho hasn't confirmed as of yet if the change will happen).

It would be impactful, I think, that depending on what you chose in this scene, it automatically choses for you what to do in a situation where you had to save unknown lives or the girls you know.
