imo the purpose of the points were to develop a single trait instead of all. But due to updates releasing in orders, players can't figure out which trait to focus on because we don't know which one we will gonna need in the future. For example, If I knew I would need to transfer AP to EP to get to LVL 3, I would have saved my AP for EP. But at 0.2, I couldn't have known. So I just spent my all my AP. And now in 0.4, when I need the extra AP, I'll have restart to spend them again differently.

I think I got carried away after all the game is not finished yet, I think several of the mechanics have a lot of potential and I hope the author manages to take full advantage of them in this or future projects.

P.D: For example I think that the mechanics of the contacts could be used to create sub-routes.

Mentioned before... catch the stalker on balcony (2 events), have sex with Amy when she's home alone, invite to shower, when on 2 ecstasy talk to the hoe in the mall and obv do all laptop things/variations

I don't think it makes sense that Eva splits her hair right down the middle and one side is wider than the other, but other than that I think I got a good synthesis of it.
