TBH i never understand why developers never release the first build of a project with a moderate size of content, is the first build of the game and in my head that's the build that should have the most content and then subsequent builds should have less because all the groundworks of the set up and plot should be on the first build so you can maybe have like 1 update per character or route untill you finish the game.
A good example of these is something like Lust town i remember that 0.1 had 1 sex scenes that was like half of the first update and the team layed off the entire plot.
Even Evas Ectasy 0.1 Had a good ammount of content and every update has been filled nicely
In my book i treat all this 0.1, alpha builds, 1.0, chapter 1 as demos, because that is what they are.
