It's a better JRPG than it is a porno, which is not to say it's a particularly great JRPG. The story is rather one-note, following the formula of "Aster wants to fuck, but he wants to do it consensually and legally. Here is a rape as a plot device to give you 'righteous anger' about the guys who don't do that. Hamfisted evil secret society owns the guys who rape and now ya gotta go to the place and do the quest to beat them. Rinse, repeat, here's a new waifu." Aside from that gripe, the art is pretty great, the game was fun enough to finish if you like turn-based RPG combat as much as I do, and there was a lot more to enjoy than to not. A lot of the characters are pretty simple archetypes, but their designs are nice and the humor around them wasn't laugh-out-loud funny so much as endearing meaning by the end of the game I enjoyed seeing all of them as much as I could. The lore is full of exposition to introduce people like me to the Alicesoft franchise without being too overbearing and it is a decently creative twist of religious symbolism. It could easily be just a generic JRPG but with the added idea of it being a harem hentai there is a certain novelty to it. Overall it could have been a much more boring, overdone, unenjoyable experience with how much it relied on tropes that come with the fantasy RPG formula, but its execution outshines its concept and it came out to be a pretty memorable and enjoyable experience just by how well it used what it was given. Looking forward to whatever sequel there will be.

Plenty of problems. Not really sure how people sat through

First and foremost: the combat is repetitive as hell. The trash mobs are easy, and they pop up every two seconds. Boss battles take forever to actually become challenging, and when they do the same tactic is used to win over and over again, it seems.

The plot is practically non-existent. Constant exposition about everything, and no conflict whatsoever. The plot only actually starts close to the end of each chapter, at least as far as post chapter 1 is concerned. It's very easy to zone out on the drivel the characters spew and find you have no idea how to proceed.
Aster's goal of stopping Serpent Crest isn't very believable. He wants to destroy them because they are evil. I presume this means he thinks he's one of the good guys. I dunno about that. Really. He never speaks about anything else but girls and boobs. Even when he's hunting Snake Crest, that's all that comes out of his mouth. There's a huge disconnect between Aster's motivations and the antagonistic force. Relate this to Sengoku Rance. Rance knows literally nothing about Xavier until he does a certain thing to a certain girl that he likes. That's when Xavier becomes Rance's enemy and Rance seeks to annihilate his face.
Then again, even Snake Crest itself makes no sense. They claim to want to start a war. Why? They never say. They never even try to outline their motives. Like, what the fuck is that? How do they even get recruits? I don't even know what I'm fighting against, or even if I should want to stop them. That brings me on to my next gripe.

The world is disgusting, and that's why I wouldn't mind if Snake Crest started a war. Everyone is a zealot, and nobody even THINKS to question the incredibly unfair and unjust system that governs humanity. I'm supposed to care about these people?
If you kill or have sex with more than one partner, you become an outlaw. So what is a normal person supposed to do if they get attacked by an outlaw, or anybody, for that matter? I also like how 99% of the outlaws were crazy and unethical bandits. How black and white could the game possibly be? And again, Aster fails us all here, because despite being full of potential and really strong, he just becomes one of the mob. A mob he literally had no inkling about, considering he comes from a tiny island that has had little contact with the outside world.
This would be okay if that was just how he felt at first and then began to change, but I played through 3/4's of the game and there was no sign of it happening, meaning even if it did happen, that's a shitty character arc. You'd think it would begin when he finds the village of girls who are suffering unfairly under his god's laws. But nope, keep the status quo mindlessly, NOBODY question it.

Finally, the characters are trash. Face it. Aster is an annoying Marty Stu, and the only character that has a personality is Ramius, and that's at her best. Riche's a wet paper bag, Gurigura has her head up her ass until her spidey senses are needed and Kathryn is a moody aggressive bitch. But seriously, Aster is far too perfect to be even remotely likable even if he wasn't an annoying fuck. The Twins even say that they didn't understand love until they saw him as a child. Like... yuck.
And lets be honest, it makes no sense that all the women are happy for Aster to have a harem. In five chapters, he's the only dude to have one, so this obviously isn't even a common thing. Man, what I'd give for Ramius to turn around and introduce Aster to her second husband. But no, can't have that. Gotta keep the writing contrived and shitty.

I wanted to like this game because it's Alicesoft, that's why I'm mad. Despite seeing the flaws, I pushed on because I like Alicesoft and wasted tons of time in the process. I am not kidding in the slightest when I say I see nothing of value here except for art and soundtrack. Shame MangaGamer is taking so damn long releasing Rance 8.

I love RPG's and this would have been a 5 but the MC loses 2 points just for existing.

The story is pretty standard fare but done well enough to hold interest. The characters are all pretty well done with the wives all being pretty great. The side stuff is your typical RPG filler content but none of it is forced and some of it is really good fun, I even enjoyed getting a lot of the collectibles.

Now onto why the MC costs the game 2 points but first I want to note that I was going to give it 2 stars because of this MC but the wives saved it.

Simply put he's a horny teenager with a low IQ that only thinks about sex and boobs. That in itself is not a bad thing however it's also all he talks about. His entire personality revolves around breasts and sex, that's it. He has no character growth nor does he have any redeeming features. It's pretty much Beavis and Butthead levels of humour. If you find someone saying boobs a lot hilarious then you'll love the guy but if that's not your thing you'll hate him like I did.

If you took Rance, gave him a lobotomy then stuck him in a room with a bunch of horny 14 year olds watching 90's television you'd end up with a guy like the MC here.

Not all wives are equal either. You will find yourself liking a couple of them but, depending on tastes, you probably won't like them all.

Pretty decent game, though not anything special compared to other Alicesoft games(but they are head above the rest). What makes or breaks this game is how you like the character cast. If you enjoy comedic harem anime, you will probably will have no problems. Especially as the MC is not a whiny idiot and more like Rance, but only with purely consensual sex.I had no problems, as literally the first wife was my waifu (Ramius, the kudere type)

The story is pretty predictable, but lore-wise enjoyable ,as it fits harem theme a lot. What you basically get is world, where all men have their libido taken away by religion,so girls are unaccustomed to being visibly wanted(which MC with ravenous libido is quick to show). Add to that official permit for multi-marriage to highly-distinguished individuals, and bunch of country-level problems to solve for the hero, a we have proper H-RPG.

Most of the game is easy, but if you want to get all collectibles and couple of additionl CGs, it's gonna take some grind and hardcore fights on special monsters.

Had a great time with the game. The story was fun, the CGs looked great and the characters were genuinely enjoyable. Overall it's definitely worth a play if you can stand turn-based JRPG style games. Also Ramius best girl.

Just bland all around. Bland characters, bland designs, bland H-scenes. Halfway through chapter 2 I just wanted to skip through everything. The main character is funny but the rest are forgettable or trope characters, that are just so hard to care about. H-scenes are drawn out and not exciting at all.

Gameplay can be fun, but there are other RPGs you could play instead. Sure it's all fine, it's Alicesoft and they make good games. But Alicesoft usually has characters and gameplay that stand out are unique and fun. This feels uninspired and is boring as a result.

Pros: Decent rpg gameplay, good story, nice artwork, hillarios humour. 50+ hours of fun.
Cons: combat can be boring after a while, but there are built in mechanics for this. You can customize your team, but only minor changes, the "classes" mainly fixed. Buts it's far more than most h games got, so its not a big deal.

    Magr3d

An open world, turn based combat adult game.
Doesn't get better. The story is really good an interesting, the characters are all well developed and fun to interact with. The adult content is there without being overwhelming or lacking and the game evolves over the chapters getting better and better with new mechanics.

If you like adventure rpgs just play it.

    Shilo

Humorous game with an interesting story, good CGs and lots of RPG gameplay (including optional mega bosses) that will keep you entertained for dozens of hours. Exploration is rewarded and the skill system is completely flexible, which are two of my favorite RPG aspects.

It's getting a 3 and that's purely because I enjoyed the gameplay and some of the characters.

    The rest was painful.

I don't know what it is with eastern developers and creating characters so moronic they defy the very laws of nature but it's just as bad here as every other eastern game i've seen.

By rights most of the characters, especially the main guy, should have been killed off by natural selection long before the start of this game. The MC and over half the cast don't have enough intelligence between them to make up one functioning person let alone an entire cast of them.

I've got a low tolerance for stupidity so when i'm going through a story and see the main cast fall for the same thing time and time again and do so much dumb shit they make Mr Bean look like Stephen Hawking.

From the get go the MC aks like a child that's just found out about boobs. While it has been made funny in some instances it's not here, it's just odd. He stays the same throughout the entire game, no character growth and no redeeming qualities.

By extension it makes the women in the game look even more moronic when they all fall head over tits for the guy just because he calls them cute.

Stupidity can be funny when it's done slapstick but here it's just frustrating. As I said, they fall for the same thing several times. It wouldn't be so bad if the plot wasn't painfully predictable.

I am a bit on the "older" side so i'm not the target audience here but I usually enjoy a good story especially when it's with a well made RPG but here it's just a well made RPG and a story so frustratingly annoying I ended up skipping a lot of it. I found myself skipping scenes when the MC started speaking because his level of idiocy made brain weep.

Finished the game and I absolutely loved it. Story progression is somewhat linear but still satisfying nonetheless. Would've liked it better if you can choose to join the outlaws, conquer the land and fight against Mother Eve.

Well I think it's time to review this game. I'm gonna go into gameplay, sexual content, story and characters, system and music.

-Gameplay: I suppose that many won't expect an adult game with gameplay, well it exists and this game has it.

First of all there will be at max 5 characters in the player team and the enemy, it's a turn based combat and kind of fun at the start, however it can be quite grindy in the long run and there are quite a few difficulty spikes, to help you deal with the grind the game added a skill for a certain character that will auto-win quite a few combats, but don't expect too much, another thing is the auto-fight buttom which fights for you as the name implies, but the bad hting is that character just do normal attacks without abilities, so against high evasion characters this is a problem. Even more when just one ability could actually win the fight if used.

There are two special enemies that may appear anywhere but with an incredibly low chance, one is the lucky can can which if defeated gives enough exp for 2 level ups for your whole team and the other is kind of a treasure chest that if defeated will drop a beetle that increases all your attributes by 1% and believe me that it matters a lot, in fact in the map there will be quite a few of those items more or less 20 of them, but anything extra is always good...

stats are straightforward, I don't think anyone needs an explanation of attack, magic, defense and speed.

About the rest... evasion only affects physical attacks, you can't evade magic, endurance is the reduction of physical attacks while magic resistance is for magic attacks, multihit is a chance to hit 2 times the same target with a normal attack, critical only works for physical attacks same as shock.

Basically the gameplay isn't bad, it isn't perfect but good enough.

-Sexual content: There is quite a big variety and everything is kind of "forced", most of it will happen just following the storyline and a bit of it will develop thanks to the side-quests.

If you are on the tolerant side you won't have a problem, but for the others... there is rape, one scene of guro, exhibitionism, public sex, monster sex... and when I say monster sex I mean sex between a female and an ugly monster.

There isn't anything too extreme but if you are soft-hearted or one of the vanilla types then you will receive quite a few heart attacks, good characters suffer, not everything that happens is good and you don't have any control over it, you are just following the storyline.

-Story and characters: We have Eve who is the goddess of the game and Adan who created monsters and a misterious cult with unknown objectives going against the church of the game and generating chaos everywhere, you are the MC and somehow you end up in between all of this, basically you are on the good side and nop there are no choices in the game, or at least not real ones, when you get a "life choice" I will just say "it's a trap!", choose right game continues, choose wrong something nonsensical happens and you go back to the choice. I truly would have liked to become an Outlaw but meh.

The characters are quite varied however if I need a word to describe most of them is "perverted". The MC is a big pervert and most of the girls are quite perverted too, in fact there are quite a comical dialogues about one of the females that likes porn and has quite a lot of it.

In terms of CG's it doesn't have too many, the game has a total of 160 CG's and in that number are included the non sexual scenes or just pictures that weren't truly related to a scene (level up changes for example). I would have liked more sex scenes but well, such is life, at least we have quite a few "flirting scenes" around the map which I value greatly.

About story itself there are quite a few plot twists and some of them were truly unexpected, I have to say that I enjoyed it.

-System: I personally don't like it, what I mean with system is for example how the game makes you remember the main and side quests and things like that, basically we don't have a diary or something like that, if you want to know what you have to do you will have to wait for the characters to talk about it, it is a pain especially when you get side quests too and you want information about them rather than the main quest.

Even more the side quest system is quite bad, they are easily missable and hard to remember, but well the good side is that most of them are completed just by beating monsters while advancing, but you will have to move first to the place that gives them and there is no indicator that it has a side quest so...

-Music: I have to say that it is quite good, sometimes even great, there isn't much more to say, just enjoy it while playing.

Overall this game desevers 7.5/10, the minus are the system part, a bit from gameplay and few scenes for most main girls.

I finished 5 chapters and an half so far. Excellent game and great thread! The MC is cool, ignorant yet relatively intelligent, and is also fun in the typically hilariously pervert like way. I put 4 stars instead of 4 becouse the MC athough its not stupid could have grown a little during the story, instead of remaining the same (SPOILER: Really when the MC answers at Seydes saying that humans mustnt be wiped out becouse girls are cute i was like WTF! I mean comical and perverted is ok bt WTF!)

Having Binged this game over the past two days and still not completing it, with multiple side missions, collectibles, and the hunt for the CG everlasting, This is one of the best Ero RPG games I have ever played.

Not only is the dialogue witty, it is taken with pride, with a driven story that at times make you want to laugh, and at others will make you want to keep playing through the witching hour.

Characters are deep and thought out, each has a background that is as wide and detailed as the kingdom of Eden itself. And at that, I haven't even met half of the characters available to have CG for, and trust me when I say: ALMOST EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER HAS SOME FORM OF CG, Ero or not, It details the characters with color, texture, and a sense of a personality behind the picture.

I will return to edit this Review hopefully once I have fully completed the game but from the 10+ hours I have sunk into this game thus far, I will most definitely return.

    Evenicle Review

Let's get one thing straight right off the bat, this is an Alicesoft game, which means it has 3 things going for it:

Good writing, good gameplay and gracious porn.

That being said, this is a slow burn game. It will toss you good chunks every once in a while, but you WILL have to work for it. Now this may be a make-or-break thing depending on how you like things, but for people like me who like substance with their content, this suits me perfectly.

This is also one of the VERY rare times that Yaegashi Nan, the artist who does ALL of the Senran Kagura characters, has actually drawn for actual porn (outside of Eiyuu Senki, which I also recommend) in their more recent style, as they have done artwork for DaCapo 2 (also another VN I recommend) but it's not really distinguishable as compared to their style nowadays.
