I don't get it. Why does Kagura keep spending time and manpower to translate games that have already been translated for years ?

This game even has a uncensored patch apparently, and from what I remember the translation is top notch quality already, so why the f bother ?

Every day for years I look up Japanesse, raw games being released which look absolutely amazing, I mean dozens upon dozens of hidden gems being released each week. Gems that won't ever see any quality tl and most western audiences will nevet get to play.

So why this ? And that goes for the majority of Kagura releases, they all have already been translated, and many of them very good already.

After comparing translations I have to say that the Kagura version is better than the one here. Saikey's translation is not official and the cgs are not original, they are redrawings, but in that point there is no criticism because the redrawing is well done. As far as the translation is concerned, Kagura's is closer to the dialogues, while Saikey does edited MTLs and often invent the dialogues. Something is said by the character, but what is read is different.

Kagura should have translated something else and not this? Yes. But Kagura Games makes a good profit from Orcsoft games. Also, buying them helps localize more games, so it's good that they translated this game. You give money to Orcsoft by buying their product from kagura. If sales are good, more and more games will be translated. So, having Kagura and Fakku translate the games is good. Saikey's version is just the translation. He doesn't even have permission to sell the game, so all the profit from the translation, which is what you supposedly you buy, goes to him.

Also, I remember that Sakey sold the translation and the uncensored CG separately, so if you wanted everything you had to pay more money since the game was not included and just the translation without the uncensored CG cost more than the uncensored game localized by Kagura.

But everyone can choose the version they like, is just my opinion.

I'm not sure what you don't get, because it's not hard to understand. As already mentioned, this game was never officially released and the "uncensor" patch was not real art from Orcsoft. This is obviously better, and people like and want more Orcsoft titles. I'm buying this from KG when I'm done with this post.

I understand you want these other games localized that you think could possibly be appealing for you, but that's not how it works. Kagura Games, just like JAST USA, Mangagamer, etc, can only work with people who are open to working with them, which may not always be the case. There's also, as you can imagine, numerous titles that just wouldn't be suitable for Kagura Games to release for a variety of reasons.

I mean, I get your complaint, but really, it was Saikey Studios who should have never worked on this title to begin with, because Orcsoft titles are always going to have a decent chance of officially being localized. Orcsoft actually wants western releases done. Saikey should have been doing unofficial translations for titles that have slim to no chances of ever being localized.

If you really want something specific localized, one of those "hidden gems" you talk about, then you should consider commissioning a localization yourself or just learning Japanese.

Kagura Games has been awful lately, tbh. Pretty much every decent game is published by Chinese companies nowadays while they keep translating games of godawful circles like Moe Workshop and Instant Flowlighter. They even got NTR'd and allowed 072 project to snatch Amelie Blanchette from them (heh) despite that they had translated almost every single AVANTGARDE game before that. They may as well just go bankrupt and cease to exist, would barely make any difference at this point. I like them though, I am hoping for their revival.

asunabunny said they compared translations and Kagura Games was better. While also claiming that Saikey uses editted machine translations and was inventing dialogue at times. What's said by the character and what is read is different. I don't speak or read Japanese, but I'll take their word for it.

You're also getting the official uncensored art for the game and not something that is redrawn trying to match the original art style.

I bought the game earlier but haven't had the time to sit down and launch / play it yet, but it's uncensored Orcsoft and the second I believe from KG, so it's worth supporting. It's cheap too with launch discount plus additional Autumn sale coupon code.

I mean, I get it, but that's how it goes. Not every title is going to be something everyone is thrilled about. Regardless, Kagura Games is still putting out a steady stream of titles year after year like they have been.

And they got NTR'd by 072 project? I guess if you want to call it that. Maybe. I doubt they care much, and besides more competition within the adult space is good. Maybe 072 offered them a lot more money than KG was willing to, or maybe KG let them "walk" because Avantgarde wanted unreasonable money for the kind of sales their games were generating. I ahve no idea, but Avantgarde may of just "NTR'd" themselves depending on how their licensing deal was, because KG is going to move more units on a title per title basis than 072 project would. KG has over 450k followers on Steam while 072 project has 36k. I wouldn't rule out seeing Avantgarde back with KG at some point. I don't buy adult games on Steam, but I have no problem buying on KG's own store, but I won't even bother with 072 project store.

Compression had some problems had to swap out the original data.xp3. Still not perfect, but from the looks of it ingame its fine.
