So why post a complaint here due to your failure to properly investigate the game before downloading it? The problem was your false assumption and your laziness to read the game tags and game overview which would have taken you less than 2 minutes to accomplish. We made every effort to inform players but if players refuse to read anything there's nothing we can do.

Failure to read anything is a huge problem with the new and younger generation of players. It's a huge problem since the first thing they think to do is smashing keys on their keyboard to write a post on the forum instead of doing any sort of reading or troubleshooting. If they can't just click on the download links and play then they rush to the forum to get a personalized answer that's already been given on the opening post. Asking them to read anything is asking too much which is the core of the problem. Laziness is widespread and a huge problem. Few talk about it so one post from me and one post from skybarbie isn't beating a dead horse IMO.

How many players post questions on the forum about what files to download when the answer is in the Installation Instructions? Dozens.

How many players try to use a different QSP Player when it's explained in the Requirements and Game Overview that you have to use the one bundled with the game? Dozens.

All because they think they know better and don't want to read anything. Lazy and entitled players are one of the main reasons why skybarbie and I stopped development.

However, you and Skybarbie already decided to step back. Coming back, getting annoyed for the 100th time and still explain why they are doing it wrong seems like a perfect way to ruin your day.

To be fair, one of us has always monitored this forum and provided help and support. Development has stopped and started numerous times but we never fully walked away from the game. I can't guarantee that will always be the case but it's been this way since I got involved in the game and noobtrain got involved in the game years ago.

We stick around to provide support and help to those who are willing to play the game and give it a chance. There aren't that many fans of the game anymore but we still try to help those who wish to play it. We also stick around to protect the game from developers who want to change it to fit their playstyle instead of adding complimentary features and improvements. Contributors not wanting to respect and build upon the existing game world has been a problem throughout the game's history. For whatever reason, a lot of players don't understand the Evil 2 game world and perhaps that's partially our fault in not making the game world clearer. So noobtrain and I still manage the project (at least for now) even though there isn't any active development going on (perhaps Useck is working on something, don't know, we haven't heard from him for a while).

Evil 2 Game World (summary)​

The world of Evil 2 is much harsher than what we experience in most parts of the world today. Putting food on the table was a daily struggle for most families and so extra mouths to feed wasn't sought after generally. Three children would be considered a large family and very few had more than this. There isn't much of a demand for adoption or babies in the Evil 2 world. Adoption agencies aren't a thing in Evil 2 and in the rare cases this takes place it's handled privately (usually between a poor family and a wealthy one).

Fitness is a priority for most people in the Evil 2 world. The strong survive and the weak get crushed or taken advantage of. Conflicts are often resolved physically instead of verbally. This is shown in the game with jealous boyfriends at the nightclub and with Crow at the strip club. This is also shown in a few of the stories and events in the game.

We've loosely compared the Evil 2 game world to Mexico in the 1950s but with the technology we had in roughly 1998 (the Internet is fairly new and portable cell phones are fairly new). The country is made up of 80% poor, 15% middle class, and 5% rich class. Nearly everyone is struggling to put food on the table and have a roof over their heads. Work is scarce and the unemployment rate is high. Most people are paid poorly (the MC does pay his employees a generous wage however) and the vast majority of people have a low quality of living except for those who have a job that requires a university education. Both parents having to work is commonplace in order to survive.

Remember the great depression in the United States from 1929 to 1939? Families were giving away their children to more prosperous people and relatives because they couldn't afford to feed them. The great depression is a lot like the Evil 2 world in terms of prosperity and financial crisis.

The game world is also the golden age of the mafia and organized crime. Crime lords (bosses) have the police and government in their pockets (due to bribing them) and get away with just about anything. Crime and drug lords rule the streets and have huge control over the area they control (manage). Gangs are common and there's a great deal of lawlessness and violence in the world. The police are overwhelmed and a lot of bad things happen to good people. Corruption is rampant and exists in nearly every facet of life (few are immune). There's a lot of pain, suffering, heartache, and injustices in the world. The country that Evil 2 takes place in is considered a 1st world country but it's still riddled with problems. The other countries around the world don't fair much better and sometimes are even worse.

Marriage is encouraged and subsidized by the government to address the declining population and family crisis.

A lot of players don't comprehend how much power and influence a crime lord like Mabuta has and think that they shouldn't have to pay him so they think they can just bypass and ignore him. They then try to find ways to cut him out of the game when he is a big fish and the player starts off as a little fish and wet behind the ears. No one wants to have to pay dues to a crime lord but this is a central part of the game and important to the story. This is a major disconnect with some players not wanting to accept the new game world they are now living in. They want everything to makes sense like it does today in our world. The player is very insignificant and weak at the beginning of the game. Your rise to power takes time and requires lots of dedication and hard work.

The world of EVIL 2 is like ours in many ways but harsher and more lawless. The police have little choice but to ignore petty crimes in most cases (unless a rich or influential person is involved) unless they witness the crime personally and even then they are sometimes ignored. This leads to vigilantism and street justice. The police can be paid off to look the other way in some cases. If you are wealthy in Evil 2 you have a huge advantage as you can often bribe your way to success or out of legal trouble. Even non sluts/whores/prostitutes will often have sex with a guy if they pay them enough money simply because most are so poor and desperate. Money isn't trivial in the game but the most desired and valuable commodity by far.

Slavery and prostitution are legal (with limits and rules). Slaves have no social status and are viewed as property. They have few rights and are nearly 100% at the mercy of their owner.

Being a hot young female in Evil 2 is oftentimes considered a negative or downside. Once a hot girl turns 16 years old they are sometimes targeted by sex traffickers and crime lords, kidnapped, and forced into slavery (joining the sex trade as sex workers to earn them lots of money). Girls go missing all the time and are never found, especially attractive teen girls.

People become legal adults at the age of 17. Once a teen reaches the age of 17 they are expected to leave the nest (leave home and live their own life). Some will stay living with their parents if they attend the University but most will leave home at age 17 and become independent. A 17 year old legal adult is viewed as being able to make all decisions regarding their own life with their decisions being respected by adults much older than themselves. They are no longer under the umbrella (influence and control) of their parents in any way.

The age of consent in Evil 2 is 16 years old. What is the age of consent? The age at which a person can legally give consent to have sex. This rule is usually only enforced when one of the people involved is a legal adult however as teens often have sex with each other below this age with few consequences. For example, a 17 year old (legal adult) could get themselves into legal trouble if they had sex with someone below the age of consent (15 years old or younger). Two 15 year olds having sex with each other is rarely a concern however, although technically illegal.

As stated in character creation (beginning of the game), females are viewed as second class citizens. They can't vote so it is similar to how it was in the United States before women got the right to vote (19th and early 20th centuries). It was a social norm for women to be submissive to males, such as husbands, and those with any type of authority. Women aren't considered equals to men and they often get treated poorly compared to men. Women often aren't taken seriously or valued for their opinions. Women don't hold public office or positions of power in most cases (a rare few do own and run a small business however). Evil 2 is a man's world (similar to how women were treated in many parts of the world in the 19th century and earlier).

slave mentality deserve treatment in accordance with that mentality!
i actually see the world more on a nietzschean morals point of view
combined with heinlein meritocracy for social organisation
either you served in the military or you pay high taxes to be able to vote
and it's why the military background is so relevant ingame!
but that's just me... nobody deserves to be born into slavery
but that's it everyone as a chance at being happy

Yes, the MC pays his employees a fair wage overall but that isn't the case for most of the world unless they have a job that requires a university education. With the university being so expensive to attend it furthers the gap between the poor, middle, and upper classes.

By position of power I'm talking about positions in government (public service), CEOs, upper level management, and similar positions. You are correct in that women can own their own business and become a businesswoman but few females achieve this and it's usually a small scale business not a publicly traded multi-million dollar company. Women generally don't get promoted to the upper levels of management in a business or corporation. There are a few exceptions but overall men generally hold positions of power and the upper level management positions in business.

A lawyer is a good job with good pay but it isn't a position of power unless they manage a law firm, are a partner in a law firm, or are the attorney general for a city for example. A lawyer doesn't have any rights or power that a normal citizen doesn't have.

Being a BDSM Dom or Dominatrix isn't a requirement to be a store manager.

So these are the requirements:

So basically, store managers are friends of yours who aren't in the sex industry (sex workers). Product stores and factories are legal businesses so whores and slaves aren't used who are better suited to the sex industry.

There's no other way to accomplish this other than using the console. The negative side to this is that having sex with her will be more difficult as she'll resist some kinks until you wear her domination stat down during sex (which takes a while).

I guess you could force her to be submissive during sex using this console command:

dom[npc]=10

Ideally, there should be more code to support BDSM Doms in the generic sex system with them having unique options. Currently, it's just changes in dialog text mostly with the dom rejecting more aggressive actions until their dom stat is lowered during sex.

but after a couple of deaths I would like to see a computer tab or something where we can keep track of those people, a mortuary of sorts where it's listed the people we killed, gang members we lost or whores/couriers that died. maybe something like we click on their name and it shows up the "tell me about yourself" list with the added "died during X" or something

You can exercise a lot and build muscles. At the nudist beach you need a high muscle to fat ratio (high muscles, low bodyfat). Do weight lifting every day to build muscles. If that doesn't increase your beauty score much then you may have chosen less attractive traits when you started the game. You can use the 'Pimp Me' cheat in the cheat menu to raise your beauty score some which I believe chooses the best physical traits for you. It also applies a bunch of other cheats so you may want to avoid the cheat until later in the game.
