In case nobody knows; If you press "o" on title screen, it unlocks gallery, etc.

Game used to work before, I redownloaded it recently and now it wont open. Makes it to the loading screen, the bar fills up, and then it just crashes. Seems to be happening a lot recently, any ideas out there?

Edit: I've found that the same exact error occurs with the 1st title in this series as well (Shadow Island).

SOLUTION FOUND
DirectX version 9 needs to be installed in order to run this game. The current/more recent versions of DirectX will NOT be able to run the game.

Edit: Man I cannot believe I went through so much effort to experience such a letdown of a game. Extremely difficult combat, unresponsive controls, and subpar animations. What a waste imo.

This version is either broken or there's a built-in cheat that unlocks all the stages from the start.

Either way, after clearing the first stage, you are sent to the map without any clue where to go next and no labels on the destinations whatsoever. There is one that is highlighted/blinking, and I thought it would show where I currently am, or maybe where I have to go, but as it turns out it shows the final destination (last stage).

From what I can gather, the "correct" path (story-wise) through the levels is top left (that's the intro you start in automatically), then bottom left, bottom center and bottom right, then finally top right (highlighted one).
