Am I missing something here? The title screen says chapter 3 and the walkthrough has options for chapter 3 but as soon as the trial ends it drops me back to the title screen? Did I miss something?

Are you using the WT Mod? That isn't updated and can result in what you're describing

That happens if you have a modified game. I’m not the mod maker and he never updated it. You should be fine with an unmodified game file.
