Yeah there really isn't a point in sticking around while the games is still clearly in early development. Maybe in a years time there will be a proper gameplay loop.

My homie, look at the version... It's in BETA 0.7, not alpha, BETA, the final phase before a full release... it's 3 updates away from being a finished product... if the dev hasn't sorted out the basic gameplay loop before this stage of development, then it's never going to happen.

The numbering isn't really universal, so it could go beyond those three updates and he could even not do a 1.0 at all until it is completed even after it hits 0.9 in the beta.

So you just don't understand that "β" is a letter from the greek alphabet, meaning "beta"... Which means the game is NOT in alpha, which is "α" in that alphabet... Meaning the game is not in it's concept phase anymore.

The BETA is the bug-fixing / polishing phase, game-mechanics, do not change, in the beta, that isn't how beta's work... The version number isn't even the main point i was making... Do you just not physically see that letter or something? Or do you just CHOOSE not to read properly?

I am aware of the Greek alphabet, I am also aware that it is actually extremely rare to find a game on this website following the traditional numbering that would end up having 0.9 go into 1.0 and it has happened several times where that does not happen.

The dev himself, labeled it "beta" for a reason, from his perspective, the game is basically finished already... That's how those labels work. The presence of that symbol means that the dev has psychologically convinced himself that the game is finished.

So this isn't actually about how games work, this is about the dev projecting his personal intentions.

I'm of the opinion the version numbers(or letters) should honestly be taken with a grain of salt, and at most, as an indication of what the Dev believes is the progress of the current stuff they're working on. I'm sure we've ALL seen games here and elsewhere in which devs don't use the numbers in any "normal" format
