Yeah so what, they had a bunch of new members at the release of the game. That's expected, it's called anticipation for the last release, not a good metric to use until a few more releases have come out.
I just mentioned about interest in their patreon page. I also said that doesn't translate to loss of members. But my main point stands, it's not "loud minority" - otherwise this blooming debate still wouldn't be raging on. By now, people are usually talking about their next release and posting their patreon posts (like their recent WIP). The side who are arguing it was a mistake are getting more likes in the community, than those saying it was a good decision. Anyone can count to 10 and see this in many areas of their community.
