VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Family at Home 2 [Final Ep.] [SALR Games]

Its a visual novel power trip fuck everything type thing. No real choices at any point, no tracking and no game play. Dude with a horse dick, that gets anything and everything that crosses his path, with no real effort.

Visually, its OK the models look nice, but mostly the same. Nice attention to heels for a change with the honey select kinda images which usually suck at that.

Not mind bending, not engaging at all. Story is all over the place and doesn't really matter. You are not invested into any of the characters at all.

Its a visual run for a little while, a worthwhile look...once. Be nice if a story and choices were in there. Takes about ten seconds and your Mom is your personal cum dump, personal whore and kinda goes downhill from there.

Totally average to below average, download this when you are really bored and have time to kill. Doing so any other time and you will regret that you picked this instead of doing the dishes.

In the land of no underwear, the boy with a firehose for a d*ck is king. Little details like plot machinery are never going to stand in the way of an MC for whom no always means yes do it harder, and balloon-assed submissives whose only thought in their pretty heads is how to get their hands on that firehose. The no-hablo-ingles dialogue has been tidied and spiced up in later updates, renders are still rough and ready and choices are for wimps.

This game is exactly the same as the other works from this dev, so If you already played some of them, you already know what you gonna find. For those who don't, here comes my review.

PROS:
- The models are hot and the animations are acceptable, but this is actually ZERO effort from the dev and a total achievement of HS engine...
- Dev has put some effort with adding varied sound to some scenes.

CONS:
- The plot and dialogues are nefarious. Totally nonsensical scenes, conversations and character reactions. Two characters may have a life-changing confrontation, and the next scene they're totally cool. The story in general has the same coherence as a Teletubbies episode...
You may read some reviews saying, well, this is a porn game, don't expect reading the meaning of life. Well, If I eat at a McDonnald's I don't expect chef food, but neither a dog turd between two buns...

RESUME: If you just wanna fap, I don't recommend to play porn games, better just go watch porn. Also, in a KINETIC NOVEL the minimum expected is a GOOD story, because you have 0 extra work creating multiple plot lines, but It's not the case here. A recommendation to the dev, read MORE, you don't need to read Shakespeare or Lord Byron, just go read some good comic writers like Alan Moore or Neil Gaiman, and you're writing and building will already improve.

I like this game, so do I with the last game of this dev.
They are all simple "down for fcking" games and there is no illusion that these games want to be something else.
Looking for a good story? Move on.
Looking for free-roaming, important choices aso.? Move on.
Want decent renders with good animations and genetically gifted women? Try this one out, you won't regret it.

What started great and with loads of scenes with hot milfs just turned to sht in a few updates. One word: Pregnancy.
The MC's fcks every woman he meets from Episode 1 - 1x and NOTHING ever happened. Then, the dev obviously changed directions in a 180° and turned 2 of the main harem women pregnant.
I refuse to continue to play this game.

TL;DR: This game shows perfectly how to turn down a game from a 4-star rating to 2 or even less.

This game is awesome cause the theme of the game is really juicy and moody it really holds the vibe of really enjoying the game and also really liked that the android version is working efficiently. Cause some of the renpy 3dcg based game wont work on my android 11 anymore

The first game, I stopped playing it in the middle, because I didn't like the renders and its story was meh, this game is not different from the plot weight of the previous one but the renders are a little better.

-Drawing/3D modeling: 3.4 (I think they are characters made in honey select, but I am not sure, in any case, I can say that they are well made, I mean if they are extravagant in proportions but it is not something that can bother me, my favorite character is the first mom and for the worst She is the sister's girlfriend.)

-Music/Background sound: 4 (It's ok, I mean it has a certain variety of background music and the characters have moans, so in this aspect it's ok)

-Plot: 3 (Honestly, his argument seems rubbish to me, at one point they present you with a situation, then they change it and the main character is a hdpt, I say he returned to his real family but he is unfortunate because of his father and what he does against him has no justification because in the beginning they never present the protagonist as someone morally correct and from one moment to the next they tell you that he is good, I think that this is somewhat inappropriate. On the other hand, I don't understand the development of the story, I mean I don't see a final goal, at first it could be understood as the main character wanting to surpass himself and have his own things, but then they abandoned that idea and simply did it in such a way that, whatever event occurs, the protagonist had to put his nose in even knowing that it is not his problem, in short, a weak plot, in particular I would not recommend this game for its plot.)

-Animation: 3 (the renders of the animations, not that they are the best, but not the worst either. they are passable I mean, they are not the best in the world but they can be enjoyable, although there are scenes where they take about 17 takes for 1 female character and I think that with fewer takes in better positions it can be much better)

- 18+ Scenes: 3.5 (At this point, I must say that there is a certain amount of +18 content, but there are times where there is nothing more than dialogue dialogue. That is, let's suppose a straight line with 6 points, in the first 2 points there is a considerable amount of content +18, but then the next 3 points, there is nothing +18 and then in the last point they put a considerable amount of scenes +18 . What is the problem? that since they cram everything into one part of the plot, the +18 scenes aren't even justified. In conclusion, I consider this game made with mediocrity. I mean, think about a game of any type of genre, at least 50% of the weight of the game is plot, to justify any type of game mechanics that it contains. Now in the case of a game +18, I consider that 70% should be plot, 20% scenes +18 and 10% make these two work together and make sense including the rest of the features (scenarios, background music , mechanics, etc etc). In the case of this game, which is VN, the plot should have an important weight, because "mechanics" in theory should be simple, decision-making there is not much to do. It's just adapting the plot with +18 scenes that make sense. In this case I consider that this game does not fulfill that, I could say that whoever made this game did it at first thinking about something, but then decided to put scenes +18, because yes and no try to justify those scenes with the plot, For that, I prefer to watch hentai videos and that's it, because at least there the story is going to be a little interesting. A +18 game is not just porn and that's it, it should be a game with an interesting plot or with fun or interesting mechanics with a plus of having sexual content. But in this case no, it's simply, scenes +18 because yes and that's it... Anyway, I played it as far as there was content but I'm not going to pay attention to its updates, personally I don't recommend it, there are better things in which to waste time.

I rarely comment on games made by HS , because HS engine production of the image has been a lot of problems . But I give this one five stars , because the content of this game attracted me . Wonderful story , The author optimized the HS engine picture , it's all very good .

Played their previous games and enjoyed them. They are not exactly groundbreaking, but they are fun.

This follows the same formula. Ton of action with great animations. The English translation is better now, although it is much better to play it in Spanish if you can understand it.

There is a release every month + cheap price tiers. You have to respect the amount of work put into this game.

Yeaeeah. It pretends to have a story but the story is super generic. And there aren't any meaningful interactions really - everything with a vagina wants to jump our shota MC immediately. It's like they are on some kind of hentai aphrodisiac.
Plus the english translation could be better.
The saving grace are the nice animations.

Honestly, I have seen porn clips with more character development. Worth a wank but don't expect any surprises.

pretty average game with a below average story(what little there is)
1. models need alot of work as he focuses solely on face and left the default super thunder thighs.
2. the womens faces needs work as each person either has dimples the makes then looke 10-30 yaers older if they even smile a bit or they have a weirdly placed age lines at their mouth which cuts off the color between cheeks and mouth making them look like monkeys or gorillas.

great renders and animations (these are one of the best sex animation on this site).

the story is intresting and the charecters are gorgeous.

the english version has alot of written mistakes but the is a fix to it.

overall a great game and a great dev who acctualy works on this game and releases updates every month or so (big updates not 2 mins crap).

This is a game that seemingly doesn't care all that much about logic and consistency of its plot.

However, I still really like it and want to give it a rating that reflects what someone like me might get out of games like these.

The visual presentation is quite important to me and Family at Home 2 meets my every expectation. The renders look super clean and seem to be made by someone with experience.

There is a good variety of visually distinct character archetypes. Though, personality wise, you probably won't find meaningful differences here. The female characters are overall pretty similar in that regard, but if you like the cute and sometimes snarky archetype, you probably won't mind.

The pacing is pretty rushed at times, which I do not have that much of a problem with. The game tries to give you a tease more often than not which in my eyes, makes it worth going through right now. Even though it is lacking in the narrative aspects and impact of player choice quite a bit.

Speaking of which, there doesn't seem to be that much player choice involved apart from the occasional "Yes, I want to have sex" or "No, I do not want to have sex".

I would recommend this game to those that do not mind about a well thought out narrative and just want to play something with weirdly intoxicating erotic content and a visually diverse cast of characters.

Definitely keeping that one on my radar. Really looking forward to where this game is heading.

Good Points
+ Art/Render style and quality looks good. (Except animations have dull colors different than images)
+ Girls/Women looks hot.
+ We have a lot of animation for sex scenes. with good physics and quality. (But with one big flaw... Again...)
+ We have some cool musics.

Bad Points
- I'm not gonna say it should be slow-burn but... Having sex without zero corruption with your mother and her saying she wants to become our ''Personal cum sack'' makes zero sense... We should have at least a little bit of corruption for this instead of going straight sex and DEV even had an opportunity for this but didn't use it. There were 2 months after MC tried to rape her mother's mouth and DEV could have used that time in-game with some scenes to show us MC trying corrupt her by using his father's absence.
- Time skips makes zero sense... Especially 3 years later time skip and what happens after was nonsense AF. All dialogues feels like literally zero time passed and it's just weird.
- Our DEV is Spanish and the English translation of our game is pretty bad.
- Animation colors looks dull while normal renders/images have vibrant colors. And this color difference makes things weird because you are seeing instant color change when an animation starts.
- We are seeing big Avatars of our characters when they are talking and it takes too much place on the screen and is distracting.
- This is not the first game of our DEV, he has literally done the other 4 games except this one and we still have some annoying problems with animations... Yes we have a lot of animation and yes their physics and quality are pretty good but their loop timing is pretty much trash. Like his other games, this is one of the worst loop timings I saw in games... You can clearly see animation start-end points and it's literally against of ''loop'' meaning in the first place. It brokes that feeling you should get from animation and feels pretty annoying. It ends absurdly and it shouldn't be like this, I can't understand how someone can make animations with good quality and physics but literally can't make loops... And aside from trashy-looking loops, we have some weird animation bugs as well...
- MC being too small makes things weird and makes women look like giant compared to MC. And his body shape is weird as well. And not just MC nearly all-male bodies look weird.
- I don't know the reason but nearly every women MC has an interest and the game gives you as a new harem member have a husband and even children and it's just weird...

For The End
Well... If you want to fap and watch some quick sex scenes this is your game, but if you are looking for something more that deserves to be called a game with a good story and choices, etc it's not the thing you are looking for.

I've played "The lécuyer cult" so I know what kind of game I'm expecting, to be fair we don't play these games to change our ways of thinking about the meaning of life nor the plot so I don't care about that. The game has a little of story that could be developed in interesting way, I'm already guessing what's going to happen in episode 2. About the models they're thicc, big titties, a couple milf and lolis and they're original but they should be more "HD" It's obvious that this well be like a Eroge so full sex scenes and low plot so we expect high quality models even if the releases are less frequent.

If you've played any of the dev's previous works than expect the same style. I did not finish play this VN (I skipped ahead to see what else there is though) as it was unbearably bad for me but I'll be fair in my review.

Visual

• thick honey select models with average rendering
• post render contrast effect is too much - every thing is too dark and too bright
• animation actually looks better than the images because the post effects are not present, there's a softer look because it's not as sharp and the colour tones are neutral.

Writing style

• neat theatrical opening accompanied with 70s pop rock music but afterwards the delivery is poor:
  • the story takes a "you must be wondering how I got here" writing technique but the unfolding of how he got "here" is nothing interesting as there's little in the way of progress or development concerning his relationship with his mother because it's heavy handed with the:
    • porn logic - cheap plot lines to get to the sex scenes
    • time skipping to develop the characters but just comes off flat and forced so no real sense of progression
• there appears to have some sort of story later on but I couldn't care to read with how poor the writing and logic presented itself initially

Sexual Content

• A lot - sex with mother happens instantly and other sexual encounters with other thick women
• The beginning is "fuck-all story and plot development" for some sex scenes.
• There is teasing and groping but very short lived without the social stakes or build up that makes it good because of the heavy porn armour

Technical issues

• character name font size is too large
• English proofread needed - wrong pronouns, some text is not translated

In short...
If you are just here for sex with thick women then you will get your share of it in quantity - I would not say quality as there's not much build up.
I've played another one of this dev's VN, Lecuyer Cult, and it definitely shares similarities with this VN:
Seeing as this is like dev's 4th or 5th VN, he has an audience so I'll just say it's not for me and I won't play anymore of this dev's work if it continues in this strain.
