None of my saves worked due most likely to the ability to rename the characters, which I took full advantage of BTW, but luckily, it is still early on in the game, so wasn't much to fast forward and remake save files, so all good. Yes, unfortunately saves from previous versions don't work now. This is because of the ability to give arbitrary names to characters. Thanks for the wishes.
