I haven't found any mention of this but... I'm pretty sure there's a new enemy in the game? I was playing a night normally when the quest for changing the fuse box popped up. I ran back and forth through the vents between kitchen and security room (I didn't fix the power), the vents got filled with purple smoke and when I came out in the security room, I heard someone walking in the vents. Later when I used scouter I saw outline of someone. I've tried to recreate this but it didn't work, it may be tied to power being out.
