how do you play this on meta quest 2? when i add the game to steam vr and launch it i get into some circular place with the games window. when i click vr mode i get only image of the menu on headset and on pc theres a long red error.
You are probably starting steamVR prior to starting the game.
Connect a cable to your pc and use oculus link to view desktop. After you open your desktop in your oculus, you use it the same way as you would a pc -> go into the folder containing the .exe file and run it. (make sure you have steam open in the background or steamVR won't start). When you open the game you should be propted to choose VR or Desktop mode, choosing VR should automatically start steamVR and then it should work.
Its janky and not a smooth, pleasant experience, you'll get used to it.
If something breaks (it tends to) repeat the process, restart steam vr in case it doesn't start correctly or restart the headset in case the image breaks, or restart the game. Eventually you should get to the point where you can play.
If you bought the quest for the reason of playing this game and maybe something else, I'd recommend you return it and get a headset designed for the pc.
