I fully agree that it sucks to see your game instantly being shared after you released it but then again it shares the fate of basically any media which is released online (which doesn't make it necessarily better) but even more importantly 99% of the people who download it wouldn't pay for it anyway. And that 1% which would pay (which is a lot given the amount of downloads) might just be as well the 1% that supports decent monkey only because they know about him from f95zone in the first place. I feel like especially the larger game kind of benefit from this free advertisment whereas it's the small creators/ studio which have a really hard time getting their leg in the door (does the proverb go like this?I haven't played the update myself , but feel those who haven't played the game can show a bit of patience and some benevolence to the developer , it's hard enough to develop a game which makes your living and harder to watch it getting shared instantly. Ultimately, it's the developer and the game that suffers and no one wants that. No one gets hurt by waiting a week or two.
Anyway, 20$ is simply too steep for a two monthly release schedule. Might be justified for a monthly schedule though. You pay 240$ for this a year. Imagine what you get for that money on steam with all the promos they do and shit. It's simply too expensive to spend so much money on a single game. Thats more like the money I would spend on porn in a whole year. If any.
