I did a few tests under different VMs with different Mac versions and the only issue I got was from gatekeeper. I fixed it by allowing the app in System Preferences - Privacy & Security.

The other reason could be incompatibility between Mac version and the packaged version of NW.js. Though I haven't had that issue so I can't be sure.

The last thing I could think of is the signature, but I've never had an issue with that either.

I think its just NW.js not playing nice with MacOS 15, I've given it security permissions and tried everything else I could.

What is it with devs these days... Let's rush an ending or release a half finished product and declare it done, since we already started a new one, which will be better, promise.

Here is how it works: implement the game, finish it's storyline apropriately, polish it - then start a new project.

Can't wait for the lame excuses that will follow this post...

You really think you're entitled to an excuse? :LUL:

If you don't like it, don't play it.

Huh snappy answer here heh...
If you don't plan on completing it don't start it... it's as easy as that...

Beginning software and game projects is easy, really easy, finishing them properly is the hard part.

Finishing started projects is important in development, otherwise you failed.
(It's different when it is a comissioned work and the client decided to pull the plug for reasons nothing to with the project itself.)

Edit:
To come back to your answer, I wouldn't have played it, if it wasn't marked as completed, which the game states itself it's not at the end, after playing it, some stuff still missing and stated in-game as such etc. - in fact you wasted my time with a game that looked like it was complete but isn't.
I could have done more interesting shit in the time used playing it, nice little software projects for example, I do finish btw..

It's a free game that has been in development for a long time. It was remastered twice, and at one point, it even got bricked. I've mentioned this before—if you've been following the project or are a real fan, you'd already know. In fact, the moment it got bricked is still documented on Discord.

The project is still complete. The last two chapters were merged into one, and the story had already been available on Patreon, so supporters knew how it would end months in advance.

Patreon supporters (all 3 of them) also received a bonus game—that’s what they paid for at the time. This main game was always released for free on day one.

I don’t understand the complaints. You got a free game—a solid 3/5 with plenty of content.

No excuses, just facts. Polishing isn't always an option when the game is terribly built.

(From your edit I can see you never even finished the game, but you know it's not finished )

Here we go...

What I got is a free game, which was fun to play till the story ended apruptly, hastly and unpleasantly wrapped up and therfore ruined the experience.
And you ask me why I'm complaining?
Good luck with your second atttempt currently in the working, but I will be surprised if that works out better...

See! You had fun, and that's all that matters. Don't forget, Game of Thrones was awesome even though the ending sucked balls.

Oh, and our new game already worked out better, but thanks for the positive outlook on things ;) .

I did, till you spoiled it with a lame ass wrap up, instead of following through and make a proper ending, you know getting back the kingdom and so on...
Did you seriously compare your game with game of thrones here? - yeah the "creative" ending of GoT got a lot of flag too, I can see the similarities here...

Technically, you did return to the kingdom. Would it have been better if you played as Reiner and fought in the battle? Maybe. But it would’ve just been a longer two-hour update with the same three scenes (possibly one threesome with Samantha and Farah) you got at the end anyway. And then people would complain there weren’t enough scenes in the game. I can’t please everyone.

Yes, why not? Both are projects with disappointing endings—mine included. I won’t pretend the ending is great, because I agree it’s not. Could it have been better? Sure. Could it have been worse? Absolutely. Did I do my best? Debatable. But hey—it is what it is .

By the way, I see the little jabs you're throwing, but they don’t bother me. The fact that you enjoyed the game up until the bad ending is a win in my book ;).

Currently RPGmaker MZ is packaged with 0.48.4 version of NW.JS. You can try this : Go to Game.app\Contents\MacOS and replace the nwjs with . I don't have access to my VMs right now so I can't test it myself, but this will update the nwjs of your game to 0.53.1, a version that supports Apple Silicone. If you end up trying this, please tell me how it went!

Oh come on you know exactly what I mean...
Your story buildup doesn't match the ending and it's not a last minute "twist" it's just fuck it we stop here and the player notices...

There are lot's of media, film, games, books, whatever that just stop, or everyone dies or it remains unconcluded - that's fine.
The difference is the story are build up differently or there is an actual twist.
If you got a hastly wrap up in, let's say tv-series, people notice, hate it and complain about it...

I get it from a developer perspective, wanna finish the thing with sort of an end and move on to make better stuff.
We've all been there...
Proplem is, you got players invested, they like your game and then, bam huge disappointment - that's not how to get a fan following, in fact you probably burned a lot of potential followers for future games with that.

My "jabs" shouldn'T bother you, I'm just an old guy, hating it when devs don't their shit right, no worries colleagues get fire when they fuck up big time avoidably as well, nothing personal, nothing to take serious.

Well it's not a win for you, cause you're on my list of time wasters now.
And yes I'm one of those bastards, who buys games they enjoyed (if they are for sale that is).

Still a win. I don't care about the list, I'm just glad someone enjoyed the game (excluding the ending ofc).
