Just treat it like a complete new game release and judge it from that, besides if last time you played was 1-2 years ago by the time it's finally released you probably won't remember every detail anyway.
Yeah I guess this is different since it's also a writing remake, so like said above it's basically a new game.
I remember Ripples and MurMur getting their remakes, Ripples was definitely more noticable so I'm hoping it's at least on that tier.

I 1/2 agree with you. I forget the characters name now but I do think it was needed for 1 character but just not the rest of it especially the visual upgrade.

Yes, second from the left side on the banner iirc and yes rest was fine imo, visuals were good too.

Another on schedule report! (yay)
Similarly to last (patrons only) report, the last 2 weeks were very productive. I guess last few days slowed a tiny tiny bit, but besides that, this has been solid 5+ weeks of great productivity, all after getting over the mental blockade with the hotel running section. It's been so positive that at times I felt I could work even longer/into the night carried by it.
Well, before my eyes become red and force me to bed that is
The most important thing to share this report is... The damn hotel party is... Finally... Done!!!!!!
While the progress of it was "okay", nowhere near as bad ep2 which was months behind, I still felt a big weight lifted of my shoulders. I was almost getting insane with the 2000 night renders there, finally some sunshine to render!
I finished with the hotel ending in around a week, really loving how it ended up. This 2nd week was a tiny bit slower, partially due to me needing to prepare some things for upcoming days, and partially for making some Levy related tweaks and tests. I am trying to change her hair but... Nothing fits with me for a main hair. Also, lost a day when my main HS2 drive suddenly started "losing" data and showing empty folders. I don't know if it got fixed, but at least last 2-3 days it's been back to normal...
And numbers wise, didn't quite hit 400 I hoped, but a solid 360 renders in 2 weeks. Very similar to last report. That is still more or less on route for me hoping to provide my closest team some alpha testing material in early October.
Not much else to yap about, feeling refreshed and continuing the grind. Wallpapers are a tiny bit pushed, should be done by end of this week. Didn't want to stop while I am good with rendering, and didn't catch some good time to do them on the side yet. Sneak peeks either very end of month or start of next.

It didn't. The developer is just milking patrons. He hasn't actually done anything meaningful in years.
There won’t be a "long run" for the game. The only long run you can expect is the one where he keeps milking.

There has been a lot done, remaking a lot of content takes a long time. It's not milking and the dev was transparent as to what has been happening and how much progress has been made.
Yeah i dont even think 162 paid members is where you would start milking regardless lol.
KatanaVN is mad active in various HS2 discords. Probably just a perfectionist

He's been remaking the content and changing some parts that were inconsistent, he's getting there but there's still no release date.

Don't get me wrong, my ass will never be a patron for 2 yrs w/o content lol. I think the way they went about it was dumb as hell, but I also just don't think it was malicious.

It's up to you to support the dev or not, but telling everyone what they are doing and showing their progress (right now Kat is around the end of ep3) is not trying to milk.

Of course it is!
some people would probably stop funding it, but since something new is coming soon, they're extending donations
and devs will be milking them for another year

I agree while I don't agree with the way the rework is being handled , I don't see it as milking especially cause the dev has been open about it since the start of the rework. So really I see it on those users if they keep their sub to the dev when the dev has been very open and honest about the rework.
