Couple of tips for anyone having trouble. After smashing my head against this game over and over I've gleaned a few things about it:
- Do not attack the head unless the legs are destroyed. Against lesser enemies, it's usually best to go for the body. Perhaps a limb if they have a weapon (like the sickle man).
- Boobytraps stun enemies. Bear trap take an enemies legs, unless they're a certain boss in a certain underground area. Taking out enemies legs means going into a fight is a simple affair since damaging the head is an instakill and highly accurate at that point.
- Guns should never be used IN combat. Save the ammo for out of combat, when enemies approach you. Seems to me that they usually destroy at least one arm of an enemy with the soldier skill. Oh, and use them at a range. There seems to be a delay after firing a gun, and you can't change weapons mid-combat, leading to wasted ammo if they catch you.
- Beds are guarded by certain nearby enemies, and they are almost always brutal. Kill them whilst awake using guns/traps, and be liberal about it. Takes no chances with these enemies.
- Save one or two coins for combat and surprise situations. Rest can be used on chests, they usually hold good stuff.
- Don't eat the blue herbs. Search bookshelves for Alchemilla Vol. 1. You can use this in conjunction with red/blue herbs to create healing potions. Blue herbs are uncommon and red herbs are rare. This game doesn't fuck around in this respect.
-In the town, there are four different enemies wandering the streets. The sickleman is easy, just go for the arm with the sickle, the trap if he lays one, and then the body. If he lays a trap immediately as combat starts, guard and take the hit. The trap will be destroyed in the process. The dual dagger woman is also easy, just attack her body, she's really weak. The lead pipe man is hardest. Don't bother unless you have a strong weapon and can take the pipe arm out with one hit. Then there's the tanner dude with the pig head. All I can say is use a trap on this dude and attack his head. Despite there being methods for these enemies, I'd still avoid them until I've got party members.

Overall, fairly lengthy for a demo and full of awesome surreal imagery. Somehow don't think there's any topping the woodman's penis detaching itself, flying at you and forcing itself down your throat.

I shot the woodsman to death before sleeping in his bed so I could save my game. Standing outside the fenced area he'll run toward you but won't follow beyond the perimeter, so when he got close I backed up and waited for him to retreat then shot him again. I think I shot him four or five times at least I can't really remember. If you do manage to shoot him more than once there's a good chance you'll blow his arms off, which weakens him significantly in combat. Once you beat him that bedroom becomes a safe area where you can save as many times as you need.
This game definitely requires a good amount of luck to get all the way through it. It's part of what makes it so challenging. Best of luck!

Can someone pass me a save file from the beginning after having passed the intro with the military character without the addiction option please? The weapon and the rest itself does not matter to me, I just do not want to have to pass the intro every time I die, you already know for comfort and not start hating the beginning of the game.
I am pretty sure all you need to do is to decide on not going on the mission and running away instead.
It can, but it is difficult for me to have to go through the new game process, I know how to make it addictive, I just want a save point at the beginning so I don't always have to start a new game having to put the name I want , history, etc.

The latest demo version is out! Apart from minor fixes and tweaks, I'd like to think that this will be the last demo. The next step is the full version. I'm aiming for the end of the year 2020. But let's see just how it goes... I'm not good with these dates and deadlines.
I'd estimate that the new demo is about double the size of the last one with 2 new playable characters/classes: The doctor and The mechanic/engineer.

Wait, there's another Fear and Hunger? Shit, I was just getting over my nightmares from the first one.
so i was looking through the game files for this new demo and apparently there is a scene of getting crucified naked so if anyone can find where this scene is best luck to you
You sleep in a bed, altho' you have to watch out, most areas with a bed have a certain hostile NPC which will attack you and have the first hit in the fight. Get rid of these certain NPCs (one for one bed) or take the risk of fighting them on their terms.
