TBH, anyone defending him at this point is just lazy because the facts are there if you care to read the little that he does commit to. Looks like we reset to doing side quests again, this is a familiar old playbook.

What actually makes this bad is Crush already had that back when dinosaurs still roamed the Earth (well, a couple of years prior to the pandemic thing, anyways), then re-did, re-did it again prettier, then basically just ditched it in favor of doing Bangkok piss-poorly, and now turned around to ditch bad Bangkok an re-do character creation + prologue again (by going back to some old version and having Victoria touch that up, it looks like... and leaving out most of the character creation), all the while pretending his hardly working was somehow his working hard.

Yeah...I think he should have just finished a version of Bad Bangkok then gone back to flesh it out/rewrite. I think he got so much pushback for making the protagonist freak out over giving the drug dealer a blow job (after you've already fucked like at least 2 other guys and one of them every night) that he got scared of his own plot and retreated back to only working on the prologue again.

Which is sad, because I think he writes a fine story when he actually writes it.
