I agree with you very much that devs pandering to a large audience on patreon while a game is still in production can be a problem, especially if the devs lose their original vision for the project. That said, I think we play very different kinds of femdom games, as it very rarely happened to me that an originally-good femdom game turned into one where all female characters beg for the alpha-male's dick - in fact I'd say that's mostly a characteristic of some poor Japanese femdom games or fake indie "femdom" games that just use the tag loosely to attract more players!
With the risk of repeating myself, the following patreon-funded indie games have great storylines which, in my humble opinion, beat the majority of Japanese femdom games: "Mistresses of the forest" by CrimsonGrey, "Seeds of Chaos" if you play it on the femdom path and especially if you submit to both Cliohna and Jezara, (I stan mistress Cliohna
) "Mistress vs Slave" by Noxurtica (if you are into lezdom as well), "Trials in Tainted space" (if you go for a femdom experience and can stand very text-heavy games), "Shattered" (if you are also into cross-dressing), and even Dekarous's "Domina" or Banished's "New Beijing", even though these last 2 are not as great storywise as the first 4. There are many other examples that don't come to mind now - hell, even the last Japanese game I recommended, "Steps to love" by Msize, has a really great 100% femdom story and from what I understood from the game's thread was entirely written and animated by one person, so it also probably qualifies as an "indie game"...
See, that's the difference between our approaches I think - I very rarely play games that only have "femdom potential" so I haven't experienced what you describe here often (very rarely actually). I usually only play games that are unapologetically femdom-inclined from the beggining or at the very least vanilla games that have a dedicated 100% femdom route, not vanilla or mild games with large audiences and just a few femdom scenes/potential...
Nonetheless, I thank you for your recommendations and I sympathize with your plight if you've see this happen in many games. For what it's worth, you can try my suggestions as well if there are any of them you didn't know about.
