Female Protag Corruption games and what is wrong with them.

So we've all been here, playing a game with a female protagonist who just pisses us off. Most of them because of this simple trope.

The Retard in Lechertown

This girl is just dumb. Much more naive than you'd think a girl over the age of 10 should be. She's pretty, and an adult, sure - but she has the worst luck, she's somehow ended up in a city / town / dimension where everyone has no other goal in life than to molest, abuse and rape her. Do they mix fluoride with viagra into the water? Is the MC girl just so hot that supposedly functional human beings would go into a blind rape-rage in her presence? Nobody knows. But the girl is dumb enough to go along with all of it. There's no blackmail scheme too stupid to fool her, and no ridiculous bluff isn't rewarded with a reluctant sexual favor. She can't work without her boss molesting her, she can't go down the street without getting groped. She can't go to the doctor without getting fucked. This dumb cunt can't even buy a bag of apples without getting herself raped twice. Sometimes she gets raped by dogs, too. Any smart person would take precautions, or gtfo out of this crazy town. But she just isn't a smart girl, she's oblivious to it all until eventually she may start enjoying it and stops protesting. At that point she can become the Cockhungry Slut.

If she has a boyfriend, that will be pretty much the only man in her life who doesn't forcefully fuck her at every opportunity, i.e. every breathing second.

Examples: Annas Exciting Affection, Road Trip, Lily of the Valley, Daughter from Dating my Daughter, Katie's Corruption
Now, the trope description is hilarious, and it points to all the problems, but doesn't offer many solutions. The most obvious I can think of is that the developers of female protagonist games need to start looking for a female perspective, because their characters are largely blank canvases with no personality. However I think there are a few other things that need to change as well.

To cut down on space I'll be using spoiler tags.

I never understand nor accepting how a male can make a good female games, like legit female thinking & behavior. Many of these basically just behave just like any other male main characteristic wrapped in female body model. It's different if it polymorph theme like comic Ranma 1/2, or the game 'Two Sides' by Greonogames, since the char is actually a male.

This. Female MC corruption games have these many flaws because they are written by a male most of the time. As creative as they can be, a male can't ever see the world the way a female does. They can get close, as OP said is the case with GGGB, but only a woman would trully know how she would react to someone trying to corrupt or take advantage of her.

Pretty much summarizes that girls are weak in every way.
Which, definitelly, isn't the case. Women aren't weak, in fact, I know quite a few that are emotionally and psychologically stronger than most men.

Well...I can think of one way to change that...don't play games that have content you dislike...
but as Chel said...

I played a lot of sh...over the years and one thing I am certain of is the fact that not many adult games have a lot of depth to them main reason for that being that the majority of players want to simply turn of their brain and escape reality for the time they enjoy an adult game....dumb is easy...dumb works well...
Personally I agree with your criticism nothing feels worse to me than playing a game while having a déjà vu of another...tropes are as funny as they are sad if one wants to be original...read them all and avoid replicating them.

The main problem I have with many female protagonist corruption games: There are too many male characters in it and you can't avoid them.

When I play a female protagonist game, especially the corruption variant, I want it to be a lesbian game, ideally with a dominant female protagonist seducing, dominating and corrupting other women. I'm still OK when the protagonist is corrupted and dominted by other women, though to me this makes it feel more like a movie than a game, but I still can enjoy it.

But when a female protagonist is corrupted by male NPCs that game isn't welcome on my harddisk, that much is for sure.

i guess the real world is boring.
when nasa or spacex shows me the earth from space, i think "earth in fimls and ads is more gorgeous" because they were photoshoped.
we have to make it un-real to make it enjoyable, i guess.
there are a few stories i like to read. there are a lot of character development, pages and pages long. but when you want to make that story a game, for sure it will be unseccesful in this era. the reason is, nobady make a complete game, they publish chapters basis and in every chapter they have lots of sex scene that everybody loves. to be honest, most of the people doesn't read the dialoges, just click pass them till next pics appears (well, maybe not most of people but im sure there is a lot of them)
in this era when you try to develop some strong personality for your character, it will take at least 1 chapter and it won't include any sex scene(maybe with boyfriend or husbend, but nobady likes it, for some reason :/ ) so you won't get any support from your patrons

to avoid this problem, one can make a full game and publish it. but, most of them just lost their passion on making it, and abondon the project

Well you sometimes get a plot device to lessen the "dumbness" of the character: Anna's head trauma, Lily's (albeit very cliché) psychologist/hypnotist, any Curse/Cursed object, and so on and so forth... but yeah, it gets old. Enjoyable, but old.

Today I played the latest version of Manilla Shaw and, lo and behold, when the main antag came all up in her grill to threaten her with rape and impregnation, the player had a choice to stand there and do nothing or to knee him in the jewels. That was very refreshing and satisfying.

And, oh well, it works mostly so why fix it. That'd demand efforts and talent (what's Impure up to these days btw?).

But is broke
To you. Some people like dumb blowup-doll bimbos who can't stop taking dick inadvertently. For some people there isn't any problem with a cardboard cutout SO who exists only to be betrayed or a town full of lust-crazed rapists. It's the reality TV of porn games but hey maybe I'm not in the mood for something deep or complex, I just want to blow a load to some hot bitch getting fucked in the kitchen while her husband watches TV.

It's fantasy, let it be absurd.

When it comes to dumb characters, I don't think it matters, if their dumbness is explained or not. Stupidity is a turn-off nonetheless, at least in my case. Maybe different people just have different ideas of the way a female protagonist corruption game should work. I'd like one were the protagonist is some kind of powerful witch or mad scientist corrupting the other women, whereas the other women come from all walks of life.

Come on Chel, you and I talked about this and one of the things that bugs you most about these games is one of the things I mentioned, the lack of choice. You don't like that every one of these games makes you fight the boss that's blackmailing you when you would probably just fuck them and get it over with.

I'm not saying that there's something wrong with corruption in general, both GGGB and Coceter have female characters that start out pretty normal, in committed relationships and throughout their story become less and less inhibited, more corrupt. The problem I and many others have, is when this is stretched to implausibility with characters who simply can't function.

A make can make a good female protagonist. I'm writing one, I am pretty sure flamecito, Dev behind I Love Daddy is a guy, and I'm also pretty confident in guessing Coceter Chronicles is written by a guy. The problem comes when must men choose to not understand women and just write blank slates. This isn't unique to female protagonist games. MotH, BB, DmD, three of the more popular adult games, female characters who are a group of basic traits with no personification beyond that.

It's impossible to be invested in these characters in games like this, because they give nothing to desire. There's no real relationship. In two of those it's your own family who you've lived with for all your life, yet the people might as well be strangers to you. You've got no idea who they really are, what motivates them, what their goals in life are, how they are likely to achieve them. As a result the only thing left to love is their body.

Imagine for a second that these games were just books without images. They'd be sitting in a trashcan with a stack of clearance stickers on them, because they couldn't sell them. Then look at View of Family or My Sweet Neighbors, similar in style to BB/MotH and DmD respectively, bit both have characters with Depth. You come to appreciate the characters for who they are. You spend time your little sister and she feels like your little sister. You spend time the hot 18 year old neighbor and you want to be a real gentleman and get her to really love you. It only takes a little character development to do this.

Female protagonist games decide not to, instead handing you a bundle of character traits and expecting us to suddenly live their lives the way they would. It makes no sense. If you want me to care about my boyfriend give me a reason to. If you want me to try not to get molested, give me a reason not to want that dick other than the blackmail. Make it possible to play your game without accepting. Let the character get arrested and have to scheme a way out. Let the blackmailer get frustrated and violently rape your MC. Give us choices with consequences that aren't game over screens.

I actually assume GGGB is made by a woman, do you know otherwise? I know the rules of the internet dictate that they're all men, but Eva Kiss is a pretty effeminate name to pick.

After all it's all about personal preferences. I don't like most of the female protagonist corruption games, because they are not lesbian games, but some like a female protagonist dominated by men, for some reason. So there is true right or wrong here.

But when it comes the men writing female characters or women writing male chracters, I think, you don't have to share the protagonist's gender to tell a good story. Do people think Daenerys Targaryen and Cersei Lannister ar poorly written characters, just because a man made them? Or Harry Potter, because he was invented by a woman?

Tropes are tools. There are really only seven different stories you can tell. Human behaviour does have patterns. But sometimes a trope comes from a lack of skill. I think this is one such case.

Moreover, people often make the mistake of equating depth of story with lack of escape/sexual content. This is not only false, but a fallacy. The depth of a story is what creates the escape from reality. Without depth you get one of the famous grind simulators, which the tropes thread kindly points out, fails to let you decals from reality because you go from one mundane repetitive task to another feeling like work.

Coceter Chronicles creates a cool and interesting fantasy mythology, designs 3 worlds, and places you in the body of a half demon half fairy. It exposes your breasts in the first 5 minutes, has you making out with the elf Princess in the first 15, gives you a glimpse of the king's sister's nipple just after that, gives you a side quest that has you catch a young boy masturbating over a picture of a naked futa who, if you startle, cums all over you, if not on the picture, and in both cases gives you the opportunity to go full slut and taste it. You have two chances to masturbate yourself that day, once in your bedroom and once in the bath. Then you choose to sleep in your nighty or naked. Naked has you answer the door in the middle of the night to a young boy, who starts stammering as he sees you nude, gives you the option to tease him a bit, showing off, then has him deliver the message that the Princess has sent for you. You go and fuck the Princess.

That all happens over the course of the first day and didn't even cover all the content. The game continues in this fashion with sex being a huge part of this world and your character's personality. Of course, you can choose not to be a slut as well. Choosing not to flaunt, choosing not to taste the cum, deciding, if you did, they you didn't like it. You can be gay all the way. You can like chicks with dicks or turn them off in the settings completely.

The game let's you escape reality, gives you choices, and provides you with a truckload of sex. It's in my top 3 games. Now sure not everyone likes fantasy. But I've already brought up GGGB, great game, immersive, no grind, well written. I Love Daddy has some light fantasy sci-fi, but it's also a great female protagonist with an interesting story and a marathon of sexual content.

Lazy storytelling doesn't make a game more popular or accessible, it alienates the people who play it.

Anna's head trauma makes her constantly aroused though, it doesn't, at least so far as I know, make her submissive as well. If it did the game could be a lot better, having her obey all the commands regardless of player input, then having her question it. But that's not what we see. She fights until they threaten her and that's that.

Which would be fine, if the characters accepted their fate sooner. For instance, I kinda like Chloe18. It's not as bad as many of the others, because Chloe doesn't have a reason to be virtuous other than her inhibition. However, that inhibition is getting really stale. After I've masturbated in class, then been caught with pencil and pen in my vagina and forced to suck the teacher's dick under the table, I'm pretty sure I'm comfortable with the fact that I'm an exhibitionist. So why do I have to pretend I'm not all the giving time?

These characters don't evolve. That's a problem. A real person would learn to function in their environment but these characters just keep playing like they don't exist in a world where they are forced to please every Tom Dick Harry and Sally who comes around to fuck them. It's infuriating because the damned developers can't commit.
