Female Protagonist game lovers-Are you.....?

Now,there is a notion going around in this parts of the forum that 'Female Protagonist ' games are not enjoyable for male players and I have seen many people wondering in astonishment that how can a straight male enjoy a Fem-Pro game for the past three months.I want to ask the vast number of players that play Fem-Pro games if this notion is justifiable ?Are most Fem-Pro loving players male?and if you are a straight male player who loves Fem-Pro games,state the reasons why?

Why do you want an explanation from the most obvious group? Lesbian games need female protagonist and therefore a natural choice for any non-immersive straight male player. Of course I don't want any male characters involved in sex scenes in a female protagonist game.

Lesbians might like female protagonist games for the same reasons as straight men, though for them, there is less difference between immersive and non-immersive players.

Straight women likely prefer straight female games, if they are the more immersive type.

Why a gay men would play a female protagonist game is beyond my understanding. Maybe they like ones with gangbangs, as these are obviously gay porn with a token woman.

Fuck that.... I am all into female protagonist games. My signature is proof of that. I used to like male protagonist games at first but then it was just the same white guy or sometimes a black guy and nothing else).
It would be splendid to have more diversity in games. Why not have asian/south asian protagonists as well...
Why not have Indian/African-American/African/Hispanic female characters?? Exploring a part of that character's culture and its society based on incidents happened in their country. There are so much of possibilites for storytelling right there.....

EDIT: A lot of people (male gamers) complain that they don't relate themselves with the character while playing a female mc. The thing is you don't have to relate to the character you can explore that character's point of view which is totally a different experience...

I think the most obvious reason is that you must know about this culture and history quite heavily if your goal is to make a game that accurately represent these aspects of a country. Since most porn game devs we know are either westerners or japanese, the settings will often be either one of those.
It's always nice to have something that goes out of its way to present a story with a unique background, but if it winds up being a corny, stereotypical, malformed offspring of what that background actually is, it wouldn't be very interesting. Funny, perhaps, but not interesting.

I play these Games to immersive myself into a Story and I just can't immerse myself into a Women. I tried playing a Female Char in Skyrim and I ended up playing like a Male and ended up romancing Females and it always felt weird.

I am just investigating the notion that 'straight male likes Fem-Pro games if it is strictly lesbian'-I don't know whether it is true or false but most of the Fem-Pro games here are very much Heterosexual but I do see most of the people loving those games are straight males.So.....what gives?

I think, as far as relating to a character goes, it's simply a matter of personal preference and much like sexual orientation itself, not much of a choice. Personally I cannot relate to any character in any form of porn. If any adult game had a protagonist with a description vaguely resembling myself (You are a middle-aged man in a small town in Austria...), it certainly wouldn't make it to my harddisk. But I know too well other players are quite different and some even choose their own names, when naming the MC.

As far as settings go, I think it's a pity most games are limited to settings in the real world at the present age. I'd prefer more steampunk and cyberpunk games, maybe some post-apocalyptic one. As far as ethnicity goes, this is mostly a cosmetic feature. In regular games, I choose the character's skin color to fit the armor he or she is going to wear in the long run. In adult games, it has even less impact for me.

There are different types of games and visual novels, and nobody is going to like them all. Play the ones you like.
Visual novels, renpy games, are basically someone's story, usually about how they got cucked. You play along and laugh or cry as the story unfolds. The sex of the person who wrote the story is not really relevant. The Harry Potter series was written by a female. Harriette's story was interesting, regardless, changing the character to a boy had little impact on the story. She or he got NTR'd by Ron either way. I enjoyed the story, and sure I would play a game where Harriette tries to hook up with Hermione. When Hermione sleeps with Ron, Harriette feels just as bad as Harry would. Then Harriette hooks up with Ron's little sister for revenge.

If your statement is a fact then all the above mentioned games are played by people other then straight males as this games are not the "NATURAL CHOICE" for them.Then where are all the non straight males in the pole?Are you implying all the straight males in the polling are coming from Strictly Lesbian games?What about all the people playing the above games and making them somewhat popular?Are they even real?

Male bisexual here. In my opinion and experience, the guys are often a bit more interesting in the female MC games than when the MC is a gay male.

But male protagonists save maidens only in regular games. In porn games they usually blackmail and abuse their mothers. But maybe these guys either don't want to experience the game from a female view in the case of straight games or they dislike a setting where males are irrelevant in lesbian games.

I wont believe it, until hear it from themselves. This poll shows only that straight men play female protagonist games, but nothing to proof that straight men play non-lesbian versions thereof. I will just leave it at that, more than before convinced that if they exist they are a very small and obscure minority.
