i understand your point, but it is not about bikini armor, is about i love more female buttocks, and female body... and it is only game, you can have invisible armor and you can have powerhouse or tank, no problem...in most or every games is nothing real

only good males characters what i played was from Planescape Torment, but you haved not another choise, then Max Payne, but you played Mona Sax too and Axton from Borderlands 2 (he is bisexual, i think )

All that being said, if you take a look at the Popular Games list, you will see that there are only MALE protagonist games. I also have a very hard time playing as a woman, and deciding if I should give a blowjob or take it up the ass at some scene. I need some kind of connection with the MC, and I'm unable to do that for most female characters.

In a sprite game or a real time 3D game I can understand, since you impersonate the character, but in static games, whatever the art is 2D or 3D, does it really mater ?
In most of them, you just have to read the dialog and make a decision time to time. Most of these games are too impersonal and you can't really say that you are the mc. Take a game like

by example, time to time you've to make decisions for other characters than the mc... So at the end, yes, are you really the mc in these games, or just some kind of god messing with the live of a poor girl, or trying to improve the live of a lucky guy ?

Whatever the sex of the mc, the result will be the same. The only real difference is that if the mc is a guy, then he just win the jackpot and will have all the girls he want. But if the mc is a girl, then it's time for her to become a slut. I don't remember any game where the mc guy become a fuck toy or where the mc girl start corrupting every one around her. At least not coming from the western scene.

About half of my favourite games actually have a female MC at the moment.

My number 1 is probably I Love Daddy. This one is nice, because it gives you plenty of Les content as well as a pretty good straight sex incest relationship, then on top of that has a really cool backstory that you learn about as you play.

The number one female protagonist award goes to Good Girl Gone Bad, probably the most grounded and believable female MC I've played. It's got a pretty interesting story and choosing to be either good or slutty and experiencing what happens is pretty erotic.

Coceter Chronicles is a game that I just finished to it's current stopping point, but in spite of the fact that I hate RPGM it might be in my top 3 adult games ever. Ignoring the fact that I'm pretty sure it uses the same character model as I Love Daddy, it features a sexy little half demon half elf girl on a quest to save all of existence from some unknown force tearing down the veil between the human world and the fae. The sex is mostly seemless and it never feels like you're grinding to get a reward.

In the end, you have to let yourself be immersed. You need to empathise with the MC. You mentioned Skyrim, and while I usually do play as a woman in games like that, it is more to look at their ass then because I feel like a woman. Those games aren't good at making you empathise with the character, in fact, they're terrible at it. You need something that's well written, and a willingness to be open to different views.

I'm mixed in this. I like something that looks both sexy and functional. Something that will possibly deflect a blow you failed to block, but would leave you unrestricted enough that you could move around more fluidly and take apart your opponents defenses... Ofc I generally play fantasy games as if I'm some sort of very skilled chosen one, so such things are more plausible.

It's more that i spent many an hour of my youth playing DnD so RP in my games is pretty high and ive never been able to step into the shoes of a female character its not that i haven't tried on the occasion like the latest Lara Croft games i thoroughly enjoyed them but then i wasn't playing a character i created + this pre determined character had a well fleshed out background so i felt comfortable as the character.

For my Pen&Paper RPGs are a whole different matter from video games. I almost exclusively play male characters in Pen&Paper and the one ocassion I played a female character still haunts me with jokes about amazons with beards. But in a Pen&Paper game the character is much closer to the player than in video games. The character speaks with the player's voice, gestures with the players body, while in video game the character, even it's an RP character in an MMORPG is still a character on the screen with no similarities to the player. In video games I mostly play female characters, at least in games with 3rd person perspective, in 1st person games I still play more male characters.

my comments are about functional clothes ,if it's a game with combat elements i like to see the characters in functioning armor . if the same character say wore some whore uniform outside combat situations or the same game contains nudity and sex scenes fine by me

I have been thinking a lot about this lately partly because I vastly prefer games with female protagonists. I think I have finally figured out why.

For me, it has nothing to do with the gender per se, but is about the active or passive role you take in corruption. I like corruption stories (as I think most people here do) where an innocent is turned into a slut. But who does that corruption is important to me.

I inherently see corruption as a "bad thing", which is not surprising since it is the taboo that turns us on. In male protag games, it is most often the main character corrupting those around him. In female protag games it is the main character who is corrupted by those around her. I feel bad as a male main character because my goal is to corrupt others, whereas I don't feel bad when it is "me" being corrupted by others.

I realised this when playing some games on the TGForum, which have a male main character being corrupted by others (usually into a sissy). I really liked them. So for me, it isn't the gender at all, but the sub/dom thing.

You are right my friend,lots of otome games are releasing nowadays and it made me kinda sad.Don't take me in a wrong way(i'm not a misogynist),i meant i'm ok with them being mc once in a while but it makes me difficult to feel myself in their shoes.It is just my opinion.
