I'll even speculate that including those realistic depictions of abuse in whats otherwise seemingly mindless porn might be motivated by a bit of cynical spite- I hesitate to say its artistry slipping in, because putting a paid DLC gallery in your game would contradict that heavily.

Although rare, there's people who genuinely get off to sadism. If you look at this from the perspective of a sadist then the apparent oddness of a game that's clearly meant to be fappable being riddled with content that makes you feel bad is solved and starts making sense.

Myf, I included this in my review but haven't mentioned it in the actual thread, so I get where the misunderstanding comes from- same for the guy who replied right before you.
Sadists generally get sexual gratification from inflicting/generally observing the pain of other people. And that's totally fine- I'm a user on a porn site, it'd be wack for me to moralize about what kinks are or aren't acceptable. What's funny about this game is that its clearly not designed for that audience- I don't think sadists want the games they play to make them feel bad about being sadists. I'd even say the ending goes out of its way to say 'fuck you' to the people who enjoyed the fantasy it was providing up until that point. But the fact it was providing that fantasy is what would turn away the people who'd cheer for that 'fuck you' moment. That's why I'm saying the game kinda has no audience imo.
And uhh keeping it real, after thinking about it for a lil longer and checking out the creator's page, this totally has all the hallmarks of a ventpost game. Not trying to psychoanalyze some stranger idk, but its the explanation that's making the most sense to me rn.

what was the fu moment? I mean given the reckless behaviour of the mc, the chances of him, not leaving the state but being sent to prison would be almost 100%, in the end he got what he wanted. And that fact, is one of the weakest part of the story writing wise imo. (literally video evidence in a stream with irl witnesses and he just got fired instead of getting immediately arrested is divine intervention levels of unlikely.)

you mean the fact that he didn't completely and utterly "capture the victims heart", like it usually happens in these types of stories, the "regret route" on the other hand was hastily put together and is basically a game over screen with a scene attached to it.

I mean, the game can definitely have an audience, an action game, can have a story that makes you feel bad about the actions of the protagonist, while still having good action, so i think a porn game can make you feel bad about the story, while also having some "good" scenes,( just requires the ability to separate) and I would argue it makes it more interesting, because the realistic depiction in combination with the sexual content really hits you in the face and generates a lot of interesting questions about a ton of different things, like: fictional erotic content and human fantasies , the relationship between streamers and their viewers, what the hell am I doing, and whether the writer is vent posting or not. among others.

And I think there is value in that. Not everything has to be a mindless, sanitized feels good fapslop. (even if this game quality could see some improvements)

It's not uncommon for people who lived through stuff like this for it to happen. I agree that this game is less so hot and more so genuinely an interesting exploration of content creation and fanbases.

From looking through the game-files and trying to create a gallery unlocked I could not find any way to unlock it.

I have the gallery, I think it's just this file.

I get the criticism of this game but there's something special about it I really enjoyed. The story was unique and well written, even beautiful at times in a depraved way. Seems like they were going for the "Lolita" theme with a femboy. The author is good at immersing you in the mind of a corrupt individual. It at least didn't feel like AI slop. Certainly not for everyone but I hope they keep making games.

On one hand putting them through the perspective of an unhinged perpetrator is definitely a more unique and interesting experience.

On the other hand its really going to hit some people way to hard (seeing the reviews) that will feel compelled to morally judge the game not on its quality but its perceived morality, while at the same time making people reluctant to defend it, due to its uncanny content.

This is why most games and fiction is more sanitized, streamlined and easy to digest. I mean can you imagine having this game in your steam library?

Usually games with content like this hide it behind the "wrong" choices so people who really don't vibe with it can still enjoy the ride, and people who do like it can "hide" behind the choices.

Being the way it is, is an interesting choice and could display the passion of the writer about this kind of content (willing to sacrifice revenue for their artistic vision), on the other hand, the dlc galleries and abrupt ending (just saying game over) suggest the opposite.

On another, more personal note, when I play a game with edgy tags, and the content is too edgy for my liking, I do not feel entitled to leave an one star review morally judging the fictional work. I just say that its not for me, close the game and move on.

For what it's worth, I think your concern is valid. I certainly don't think dark themes in fiction are anything to shy away from—the comparison I made in my review to Lolita was meant to be positive, it's a great novel. My problem with the game is not that it depicts rape and familial sexual abuse realistically, not at all. My problem is that it depicts rape and abuse realistically, while simultaneously trying to present it as sexually titillating to the audience in a very haphazard and gamified way that confuses the themes and tone of the narrative. It feels very inconsistent when and where the MC's acts of rape and molestation are shown to the audience through CGs and moment-by-moment narration, versus when they're skimmed past. To me at least, it comes across more as an attempt to budget out the porn evenly across the game, rather than using those scenes to better communicate the way the characters experience the sex in their relationship.

That being said, I do think my visceral emotional reaction did color my perception to a degree. Given what you've said and further time for reflection, I do think it deserves an extra star or so.

), who explores a very similar relationship based on its real-life abuse experiences. Something just slightly felt off compared to the other things I've seen by survivors reflecting on their abuse, I dunno, it's hard to put words on it.

i played this game expecting to get traumatize with the way someone said it but after finish the two ending i thought this wasn't even that bad like sure the mc is not a likeabe person but compare to mc for the other game this is nothing and the story even thought is average but to me it's quiet good and the artstyle is really good sadly we only have like 4-5 scene that keep getting repeated overall it's pretty good trap game

This VN is something... I want to talk about how unsettling and on how details of some parts of the writing are but I also don't want to spoil anything. I stayed until the end because of my curiosity to see how the story goes but I do regret staying until the end.
This Dad character is one of the worst types of people. I really don't know the intention of creating this character or telling this story. Maybe the author just feels interested in exploring this kind of twisted incest theme. Anyway...I won't judge, but this one isn't for me. Not because it's dark but because it's really not my cup of tea.

If you use comparison as a tool, there is always someone better or worse than him or a game with a darker or lighter story but that's not the point. He's still a very twisted n disturbing father any child can have.

Honestly a pretty well written story if a bit on the darker side. But it was a pretty realistic portrayal of abuse and the thought process of an abuser. Though I do still wish it had a little more player choice input for the story, but I understand why making the dad nicer might not be what the dev wanted. Either way I enjoyed it and the art style. Solid if short experience.

Almost fully unlocked gallery, the choices don't seem to be the only factor for sex scenes, i'm trying to unlock them through the files, but cracking the "persistent" file is a PitA, if anyone has any ideas, they're welcome
